I wonder why in canada we cant have guns like in the USA

Is it because we are pussies ?

Here we can just own a hunting gun but you gotta prove its for hunting. Also, you can own a handgun but its hard to get your license , and you have to prove you are going to shoot it in a shooting club.

while in america they can mostly get what guns they want . even some have automatic rifles.

Y'all can have firearms. Even the dread AR-15 is allowed there. Only certain specifically named military style rifles are prohibited I know several Canadians who own restricted firearms.[image deleted]

Because Canada cares more about people's safety than corporate profits and man-children getting to play James Bond?
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
Yes but in Canada you know your kids are going to come home from school!

well thats all the things you need guns for. so why let it bother you, what would you use it for?
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
If you want a gun, go hunting.

1) a hunting rifle is more than adequate for home defense
2) actually hunting will give you practice in it's actual use, which can be jarring for people who aren't used to shooting. And live targets are different from range practice.

american here. colonial territories fought constantly in pre-constitution America and gun battles were constant. Canada's settlements were sparse pre-confederation - skirmishes weren't as common or widespread. i'm fairly certain Canada adopted a gun law after consulting with British law makers with respect to 'frontier' gun control - it's not to do with Canadian's being pussies.

You should of just stopped at "Is it because we are pussies ?"
