there used to be hundreds of them where I lived. not sure why, but standing in a brightly colored booth with the door closed while on a private phonecall felt.. well, good.
I also miss the days when you used to be able to ring up the operator to reverse the call charges. lifesaver if you didn't have the money to hand
also calling the operator to get someone's number, and, if you wanted, be put directly through. I think they still exist, but they are no where near as popular as they were.
monty python because they were just fantastic. you can't watch the dead parrot sketch and not laugh
@emily67 Here in Australia, phone boxes still exist and now all local calls (landlines and mobiles in Australia) from them are free. Telstra is required to maintain them under a Community Service Obligation. Many of then now have a Telstra wi-fi point on them (they have a pink roof section) but I think there are hoops to jump through to use that wi-fi.
Real newspapers with real content with multiple perspectives and viewpoints, reporters who specialized and did in-depth analysis. Rather than either a rehash of what is trending or a rush to be first with few facts and less fact-checking, all in a futile attempt to beat the speed of broadcast entertainment -- er, news -- and social media gossip -- er, news. And being picked up by one of the wire services and spread farther was not only a feather in your cap but an additional revenue stream, instead of just being ripped off by TV and social media.
@AbbeyRhode I completely agree with you there. I think I'm seeing more and more people talking about how they don't have a TV in their home, and don't go to the movies any longer.
Connecting more in person with friends because there was no internet
When people had manners
When I was young and the only thing I had to do in life was go to school and decide which tv show I was going to watch that evening. Oh and remember which days I had to get to my piano and dance classes
When I was a teenager everyone had less fancy things and as a result we enjoyed everything more. I miss the feeling of getting excited about things but I think that is more my age than changing times.

@JimboSaturn I understand how you feel. I been struggling with the same feeling. I just figured there was something wrong with me

I miss my childhood. To be totally carefree and laugh unrestricted, and jump and fall like an elastic band. Laugh when feels like laughing, cry when feels like crying and forgetting everything all the time. Yeah, good days ❤️
@SW-User I've dealt with some erectile dysfunction from time to time, but I think a lot of that was being out of shape too. I gained 115 pounds in the year after I got sick thanks to Prednisone.
Those issues are taken care of at this point though. :)

@thepeculiarpanda That's excellent. A good and happy life to you mate
A lot. It's more about what's happening in today's society that gets to me. People are heads down in their phones. Kids play video games instead of going outside. Kids can't play outside without constant adult supervision. Language... pornography... sexualization of kids...
@SW-User I was about two or so when the song came out, I had it on 45rpm and listened to it a lot as a kid :) I also watched the A Team religiously too. [media=https://youtu.be/d4fTxy258Xg]
@bijouxbroussard This is true. I just listen to old time music now. I'm not going to bash new music the kids listen to, it's their time and their music, it simply does not speak to me.
