Mocking and humiliating someone to get them to change their opinion has always seemed kinda pointless to me

Of course I can't speak for all cases, but from what I've seen, it seems like the equivalent to standing beside a car, screaming at it and demanding that it drive and then getting frustrated that it doesn't just magically drive

Things just don't work that way ;/

I think mocking and humiliating someone should be reserved for when it's clear they're never going to change their stupid opinions.

@DunningKruger true,

But I've heard of cases where people who seem impossible eventually do change their opinions slowly and over time,

Usually through subtle reasoning and thought provoking questions 🤔😅

@Fishy You mean meaningful dialog and well-reasoned and supported arguments?

Pa-shaw.

@DunningKruger I meant like gentle and gradual...
It can knock down the ego barrier

But yeah, there are still always the acceptions, can doesn't mean always 😅
