My mom's such a genius

She's going to call the Canadian embassy to see if my son can fly from US to Canada w/o a passport! (He's a Canadian citizen, I'm American)

I think she's ridiculous but I'll give her a pat on the back for trying to be clever...

I thought children of American parents in Canada had dual citizenship....even if not I don't foresee many problems....Yay Mom💪

Cant you apply for a u.s. passport?

Also, isnt he under 2? He should be able to fly without any passport or documentation..

@Notsimilarreally damn. Thats a pain.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@SW-User he doesn't domestic though. So I can fly to the top of America, cross over the border by vehicle (that's legal), and then fly home in Canada. Lol.

@Notsimilarreally path of least resistence. I would do that lol

I think they issue temporary travel documents at the American consulate, though his not being a citizen would complicate it
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@Longpatrol yeah I did a little research, passport waivers etc, just doesn't apply to us. I could technically wait for his dad to receive the Canadian passport and send it to me .... But I don't wanna!

A travel agent told my mom to do this and I am wondering if they were messing with her or just wanted to get her off the phone or what hahah

I remember my Canadian years!
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@SpaceJesus hey stranger. What part of Canada?
SpaceJesus · 46-50
@Notsimilarreally Hey ya! Grande Cache, Alberta. In the Rocky Mountains. When I first went, all you needed to get in was an ID and your birth certificate. That was so many years ago. How are you and the little one?
