In the beginning, God created the USA. He then created the earth to place it on, followed by the sun to shine upon it, and it was good.

Apart from the silly response in that conversation, I found myself interested in the shark and did a little web searching.

I discovered it is a Greenland Shark. People almost never encounter them, as they tend to stay in the Arctic and North Atlantic cold waters. But apparently it is not unusual for them to live to age 400, and the oldest is thought to be over 500 years old.
