Why do men only befriend you if they think they can form a romantic relationship with you?

Why do they though?

Full disclosure: sex is a pretty big box to tick for men.

If you really really want a male friend but dont want to have sex with him, best thing for you to do is hook him up with one of your friends or some girl you know.

That way even though you wont be a direct source of sex for him he can still get sex from you by-proxy.

Thereby validating your friendship.

Sucks to say but men can be friends with men and animals. There is no real reason to be friends with women (barring family members....hopefully) because any woman that you like enough to be friends with you will eventually want to fuck unless she is hella unattractive to you. Not to mention that a lot of women do not like men they want having close female friends. So being your friend can actually harm their sexual prospects elsewhere.

You can say anything you want about what I've said but you can't say it isnt true.

TL;DR: if you really really just want male friends then try being a bro and helping them get laid 👍🏼

@Teirdalin lmao then why?

This is definitely not all men. And counter to what some people say, some men find it easier to be friends with women than other men.

Why does it seem like we all want to pursue a romantic relationship with you? Often times it is because we are friends. We know who your are. We like spending time with you. We do greatly desire sex. If we can get it from someone we already know we like and we can spend time with that saves a lot of pain and effort from trying to meet someone we don't know for that purpose.

If a male friend is a real friend, he'll remain so after sex has been taken off the table, but most straight men are going to try at least a couple times if they don't have someone else. If he flakes after being denied, he probably wasn't the kind of friend you would want around anyways.

@janicemegan very welcome

@ViciDraco it is disturbing how many men here just find it normal behavior to ghost after not getting sex. But that is just evidence for what is out in the world.

@ViciDraco that's true. there's some here in the comment section, these reasoning sound like shit and it's an awful mindset to have. i guess, it's up to me to be wary of it. it's better to be picky of my friends instead or i'll be hurt all over again just because some men don't see me as a human being deserving of respect

I have several good friends who are female. The very thought of a romantic relationship with most of them makes me shudder.

Um, isn't that how it works? Especially if they started being your friend 2 years ago, just to get your love. I would date him if he has that patience. This lets you know that he's really serious about it.
The thing that'll tick me off is how they'll ghost you because they couldn't get you. Wouldn't mind staying as friends.

The mating game is always at play. But apparently only incels hold this view. Men are always looking to get their dick wet and some are willing to play the long game to get it. Staying in what is now called the "friendzone" is just a mating strategy that some men employ.

Not all men do that.
Some things are innate

Like how women don't like smaller, weaker men who are poor, generally

We shouldn't question an innate disposition because that's not really a challengeable thing. We can see it but we gotta respect the tendencies we find

Not all men!!

Depends on the dudes. If you're going after F***boys, then yeah. They need to check off that they banged you and brag about it. After you're an adult, it's far easier to tell.

They are simple minded.
