Its not that people are replaceable - its that 'everything, (including people), has their time'.
Nothing is permanent.
People come
People go
Your 'people' change
This has been one of the hardest lessons in life for me to learn.
There are no promises.
There are no forevers.
Life gives
Life takes
Life moves on
The secret is to move with it, and hopefully learn the lessons each person was there to teach you .

@OogieBoogie I really hate it because it makes me feel weak and Im not weak. Accepting? I had no choice. I never did. Able to move on? We have to move on...I chose to move on with that regret.

@Rilyn moving on ? ...i sincerely hope you do .
Its a good choice .
Some wallow in their past misery for the rest of their lives till it defines who they are.
It takes time ....and memorires can betray you when they pop up.
Saddnees has value - without it, happiness means nothing.
Life is yin and yang, up and down , the wheel forever turns.
But to let it go, to move on, you have to practice getting your mind to do just that .
Everything we think can become a habit .
Its why i say pull yourself out of thinking it for too long ....its not a habit ypuve chosen to keep .
Which is really brilliant .
Being present is where you need to be 💚🤗💜

Rilyn · 31-35, F
@Straylight I can read minds sometimes 😌

Stuff, places, people all come and go in our lives. Some through our choice, some through circumstance etc.
More that I have some that are irreplaceable to me the ones that even if they went no one would ever completely fit that shaped hole they'd have vacated.

When you include new things and new people. They will automatically replace the things and people that are not needed anymore in your life.
If you try to replace or stop thinking about them, you will never be able to replace or remove them, as you are constantly thinking about them. Just indulge yourself in new things and people. And focus on these new things.

To you I am. Always forgetting about me down here in the dungeon. 😢
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
People? No. I think everyone is unique. But there might be situations when it doesn't necessarily matter if I'm with this or that person, so maybe in that sense it could be understood that way.
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@CrazyMusicLover Right? If they sre unique then all you can do is try and find similar qualities....but it takes you back to that uniqueness and thats why it stings.
I really don’t know … I hope not … I don’t want to end up with a lonely heart …
WillaKissing · 56-60
That all depends. Not my family members and friends.
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@WillaKissing my family has been given the payoff.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@Rilyn I am so sorry to hear that. I hate to see families disowning their own.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
No one is replaceable, but I do seem to keep running in to people who fit in as certain types or roles, as if my life were a long-running sitcom and characters keep getting recast.
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@DunningKruger Bit too emotionally charged I guess and more than a simple PG rating 👀
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@Rilyn Sure. Sometimes, you have to tone down the source material for your target audience. But the core is in there.
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@DunningKruger Yeah. Somehow the core survived.
chasingThursday · 36-40, M
I wish I could replace my coworkers
Rilyn · 31-35, F

That's what nearly killed me Rilyn .
I was with someone before and broken up .
Do you know the word that nearly killed me mentally after the break up .
The word " Forever " .
The answer is Yes some people are replaceable.😊😊😊

@riseofthemachine I wouldnt say replaceable exactly. Id rather say you moved on towards something better. The only thing that exists forever is death.

I'm easily replaceable. And will be replaced relatively soon. It will be such a relief. 😮💨
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@PhoenixPhail Awe dont say that makes me sad :/
PhoenixPhail · M
@Rilyn Please don't be sad. It will be a most glorious relief to me.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
No one really is,they occupy a space in my mind somewhere.
Doesn't mean I want them all back
Doesn't mean I want them all back
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@Justmeraeagain Some do. Others dont occupy my mind as much. The one that does its overwhelming tho
TallMtnMedic · M
I have a very small group of friends, the rest have been replaced.
Rilyn · 31-35, F
@TallMtnMedic If its worked for you
TallMtnMedic · M
@Rilyn It has, its a survival mechanism for me actually. Dont get me wrong, Id love to have more close friends, but 3 were with me at my lowest, and 2 still remain today.
Yes, I have friends, but 2 that actually took the time to know me.
One is a friend that has gone to soccer with me and a few concerts his wife lets him.
The other is a woman that Ive known over 20 years. She doesnt live here though.

Really close friends aren't, but people who pass by and leave after a few days/weeks are quite easily forgotten indeed.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M

Rilyn · 31-35, F
