Would you like to live in a Big City or in Country ?

QueenOfTheNerds · 41-45, F
I live in the country, and always have. If anything, I’d rather live in the middle of nowhere.
lonelyloner · 31-35, F
once upon a time I lived in a city like HK but now am living in a small town and time to time living in a country side too , there are both good and bad in both living but I feel a kind of freshness and pureness in living country side which i never feel in city life
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@lonelyloner That is so lovely. Went out for a walk the other day and saw a couple dear a few blocks from my house
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
I’m perfectly happy living in a small but historic city with loads of green space 🙂

subhubby · 56-60, M
@Dlrannie beautiful green space. Thanks for sharing.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@Royrogers Yep it is 🙂
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@subhubby @subhubby Here’s another one - it’s literally only only 10 minutes walk from the city centre🙂
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
In the country but in decent driving distance to stores for when I need to do some trading. I never want to live in a big city.
SW-User
I'd like to live close to a big city but not in it. I like the comforts of city life, but the beauty of the country. I want both!
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
I was born and raised in NYC....it’s home to me.
I can enjoy the country for a little while, but I wouldn’t want to live there.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
@Muldoon I was born and raised in NYC....I can appreciate the quiet for a little while, but I like having more activity around me.
I love my city....and I feel at home here.
Muldoon · 56-60, M
@DragonFruit I've lived in NY. Ten times more things to do. It's a trade off.
More of everything.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
@Muldoon It’s home to me....I’ll take that “tradeoff” every time.
Bri89 · 31-35, M
I would prefer to live in the country, but my lack of transportation makes that impossible. So I choose the next best thing which is living in a small town where I have what I need within walking distance.
Subalugirl · 22-25, F
@Bri89 Me too !
BlueVeins · 22-25
I'd rather live in the fringes of a city.
rfatoday · 61-69, M
Left Silicon Valley here in CA and lived in two country locations since 2006. Peaceful. Deer and wild turkeys pass through once in a while. Lots of oak trees and squirrels. Can target shoot in my own backyard. I'm social but was never one who "needs" to be around people.
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@rfatoday At least you got out of the Bay Area. I used to deliver papers around the east Bay Area.
rfatoday · 61-69, M
@bhatjc Small world. I grew up in San Jose. Sold my house in 2005 then left.
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@rfatoday Yeah it is a small world. I lived out in Livermore. But I lived In the OC, and SD area for years. Then last year after covid hit. Moved out of state. Before it really went crazy.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Somewhere in the woods in a little cabin
QueenOfTheNerds · 41-45, F
@Longpatrol I agree!
Muldoon · 56-60, M
It depends what you're used to.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
In the country close to a big city
SW-User
Country. By far!
Tanoos · 41-45, F
I love city life
I have the luxury to live in the country and on occasion work in the city. I enjoy the quiet of country living and providing my network is running can do a lot of work from my home office..
SW-User
I live in the country. And prefer it that way. Honestly I've never really lived "in" a big city. Suburbs as close as I've come.
Any town with a population of more than 5000 is too big for me.
Subalugirl · 22-25, F
@TheSentinel Hmm...but some people prefer Cities !
@Subalugirl Yes, but that's why I said 'for me'.
rfatoday · 61-69, M
@Subalugirl For sure! I have friends who love being in the city and suburbs.

Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Outdoorfreedom · 56-60, M
Country only. No more cities for me.
Outdoorfreedom · 56-60, M
@Subalugirl I haven't seen anything yet
Subalugirl · 22-25, F
@Outdoorfreedom would be in your request

Big city life would either kill me or drive me insane, whichever came first.
Razzledazz23 · 41-45, M
Big city. Because I’ve lived in the country for sooo long and it’s boring.
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@amihcitan] 🤔 i have lived in the county all my life in a small town and that is all i have ever known . when i have reasons to travel to a big city i do not like the atmosphere and the hustle and bustle of day to day existence i am glad to get home.if i had to ever move to a big city for whatever reason whether i could adapt to city life would be a case where i just have to like it or not
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
I’ve lived in both now I live in small town it’s fine. I prefer town. Of course there are different variations. you could be in the country and live right outside of town or be way out in the middle of nowhere. And a small little town is very different from the big city.

At least I have adequate shelter. That is what is most important. And of course violence and crime.
solitaire · 41-45, F
Probably in country post retirement
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@solitaire That does sound good
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Neither but if I have to pick from these two then it would be country.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
[c=800000]I also think it would be neat to live in a lighthouse. [/c]
MtnManJohn · 56-60, M
Live in the country.
Subalugirl · 22-25, F
@MtnManJohn Its Good !
MtnManJohn · 56-60, M
Feuerstern · 51-55, M
Definitely the country.
SW-User
Country. Always country. With access to good shopping facilities.

A nice compromise is out in the sticks in a detached property where I can be a night owl and music/exercise in peace whenever the fuck I feel like being awake/alive.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
[c=800000]In the country, by far!!! [/c]
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
In between the two.
rachelsj · 22-25, F
Golf course
supersnipe · 61-69, M
Really torn on this one. There are advantages in both...most obvious to me is the cultural richness of cities, as against the green space and nature of the countryside. A city with plenty of green spaces is nice.
Jimmy2016 · 61-69, M
Green Acres is the place to be.
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.
enjoyingitnow · 61-69, M
I want to live there what ever that is even if soon to be city the short time I get with that country would be worth it
Tom610 · 61-69, M
I worked in a big city for over 40 years. I lived in the suburbs right outside the city. I think I would like to try living in the country!
bhatjc · 46-50, M
A mix of both. Don't want to be to far out in the country. Not being able to get some shopping in.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Country of the two, but not TOO far out into the country. Definitely NOT in a city though.
ninjavu · 51-55, M
I've done both, currently in the suburbs. Want to go back to country life.
SW-User
I live in a big city, but I often wondered what it would be like to live in the country.
Montanaman · M
Country living for me. Solitude Peace and quiet. Less crime. Less drama.
I would love to live in the country.
It's so much more natural and peaceful.
Adamski24 · 41-45, M
I love living in the middle of nowhere deep in the countryside with no one around
djjohnson · 41-45, M
Live in the country. but close enough to a city to work and play.
PoorSissy · 46-50
I’d prefer the country but can’t afford not having a job if I did.
Milkcandy · 26-30, F
Big city more fun to live, country only good for few days or a week
SW-User
I prefer country living these days. But cities are fun to visit.
Reject · 26-30, M
City. I have ambition a quiet country life isn’t going to solve.
jackson55 · M
I live in a small town in the mountains.
