I eat cheese in my office and listen to people whine...does that count 🙄
@LilPrincess haha, near enough

No, but I did make a wine & cheese picnic as a banquet waiter for Willie Nelson's room at Ramada Inn before his arrival in Austin, TX. I chose Ritz crackers as the foundation, with Cracker Barrel brand sharp cheddar cheese floating on a cloud of strawberry or pineapple cream cheese spread between the two. This surrounded the edge of the large plate with green and red grapes in the center accompanied by a large carafe of chilled rosé. Strawberries and melon slices optional. Also served this exact wine & cheese picnic recipe to a rock star from England and Deke Slayton the NASA astronaut. I make myself this wine & cheese picnic on special occasions to this day!

Probably not since the 1970s! 🤣 (And that's now brought back to mind Mike Leigh's fabulous play "Abigail's Party")

I haven't, but last year, for the first time, I went on a wine tour outside of Phoenix, though the tour escapes me. I was astounded because assuming that the sun just fries everything out there....I was waaaay off. I visited a half dozen wineries, and their products were astounding. For me, it was not only gratifying, but a learning experience.

My house *is* a wine and cheese (and hams) party
Except for the weeks I put myself on a diet

exexec · 70-79, C
Yes. They were okay. I enjoyed the conversation, but I know absolutely nothing about wine or cheese.

@Evolved I don’t really drink and I can’t/won’t drink wine for personal reasons.
@NewBeginnings7790 you are lucky , I can't pass up a glass of wine ever
NewBeginnings7790 · 41-45, F
@Evolved It’s definitely not luck, it brings up something that I don’t think I will ever be able to make peace with

Yes, plenty
We only have guns and alcohol parties where I live.
AbbeyP · 70-79, F
I find them very boring
ElRengo · 70-79, M
Yup.
SpaceJesus · 41-45
I'd go for the cheese! Not much of a drinker
bijouxbroussard · F
A couple of friends and I still do that occasionally. The wine and the cheese became less expensive after we retired.
Atlotto · M
