Vegan Grocery Store I want to open a vegan grocery store. How viable is this?

It's very viable.

Those shops are known as greengrocers and have been in existence for a very long time.

I’d shop there. Go for it!

Lots of Indians where we live. It would be an instant hit. I guess you have to research the demographic and decide if it would work, or just take a chance.

Every one that I know of have failed. Not enough demand to make the extra trip. People can buy what they need in the local store.

Hmmm. I've never heard of that. Don't they sell vegan foods in the grocery store?

It's viable. But it's extraordinarily complicated. And expensive. Getting a loan for something like that might be pretty difficult unless you have a real track record.

It depends on where it is located.

In Bangalore, India, it will do great.

In a student-neighborhood in a US large city it might do well also.

In Biloxi, probably not.
