Yes, but I usually take in unsweetened
OldBrit · 61-69, M
I used to have sugar. Then my wife after our second kid hit wright watchers and after that my sweet tooth left me. So no. I prefer typical British black tea no sugar. Very rarely have peppermint tea and maybe ginger and lemon but that's it.

I used to have sugar - dropped from 2 spoons down to 1, and then stopped completely when I was diagnosed with Diabetes about 7 years ago. My favourite is a blend of 2 spoons of decaff English Breakfast Tea (Taylors of Harrogate who produce "Yorkshire Tea") to 1 spoon of Lapsang Souchong, with a small drop of milk.

Fairly sweet, yes. I can and often do now, drink it without.
This is ordinary tea, of the tea-plant; not infusions of other plants but still called "Xxxxxx Tea"
Our family used habitually to put sugar even on cereals like cornflakes, but I stopped doing that decades ago.

I was addicted to it when I moved to Michigan. I used to get TWO extra large McDonald's sweet teas, and cart them back to the foreclosure house I had bought. Basically the tea acted as rocket fuel, and I was able to put a coat of primer and TEN coats of paint, AND two coats of satin acrylic finish on the DARK brown cabinets in my kitchen, both inside and OUT. Fair sized kitchen, with an island, too!!!
Painted everything white. It was like a miracle that I could manage it with that horrible, thin, DRIPPY Valspar paint from Loews that some salesperson talked me into.

I used to have two or three sugars in tea when I was younger, I’ve got it down to zero now though.
