Chocolate is the most essential (with nuts and/or caramel and/or coconut are also good combinations)
Whenever they are [i]on sale[/i] at Costco: Ferrero Rocher, Toblerone, Lindt/Lindor truffles, Godiva Masterpieces, the chocolate and coconut covered almonds, David's pecan meltaways, a couple of French things like madeleines and some long, slender chocolate filled pastry tube thingies I can't recall the name of)
Otherwise essentially any chocolate / dark chocolate candies, from Hershey's miniatures and nuggets to Ghirardelli squares
Also Kit-Kat, Nestle Crunch, Snickers, Twix, Reese's cups (both regular and white chocolate)
Those Belgian chocolate "seashells" under possibly multiple brands that used to appear in autumn at Aldi and/or Costco ... Trader Joe's "Aussie-Style" (?) chocolate creme sandwich cookies
Going to limit myself here to just speaking of candies specifically, but there are plenty of other good items from cakes, cheesecakes, pies, ice creams/gelato (especially espresso/coffee flavored, and green tea flavored), crème brûlée, Indian rice pudding/kheer, baklava, cookies, biscotti, waffles, brownies, eclairs, etc. ... there's really too many to list, as others have noted
And we're not even getting into dessert [i]wines[/i] (e.g., Sauternes, Banyuls, Vin Santo, Trockenbeerenauslese rieslings)
But things I do NOT like include hard candies, Skittles, gummy anything, gelatin, marshmallows, fruity confections (but there are exceptions, like blueberry, pumpkin or key lime pies and cranberry-orange muffins)
