If you ever feel useless, remember there were Domino's Pizza stores in Italy

@helenS Understandable. There's a lot of foods that are supposed to be from other countries that were invented in America.

@Northwest it was a long time ago. She was telling me a story about her italian pizza encounter. I wish i could ask her about it

@Carla I would not rule it out. Street food in parts of Italy varies so much, it's like food carts in the US, depends on which one you hit. I can see a sardine pizza, it would be no different from decorating your pizza with anchovy (I hate it, too salty).

This month it's heirloom tomatoes pizza month at Pagliacci Pizza.

@Northwest ahhh...this month it's fresh grape tomatoes(heirlooms not quite there yet) and fresh basil, in carlas back yard🙂.
I enjoy anchovies on occasion. I will pop a few small pieces on for a salty bite.

It caters to the tourists. That’s why.
And they offer local specialties on their menu that varies by city/country.

@CookieCrumbs They (I'm talking about McD's, BK and KFC) do alter their ingredients and choices a little bit to cater for local tastes. However, not enough to make any real difference.

Also, it's not just tourists that frequent those establishments. Young people go to them because they've bought into the USA hype.

Obviously we can determine reasons "why?", I simply find many of those reasons to be rather daft🤷‍♂️

@MethDozer I like dominos pizzas with extra cheese and sauce but yeah the crust is the worst. It's almost always burnt up
