I think the texture would be weird for me. But, I at one point didn't think a slice of cheese on apple pie would be good, boy was I wrong

@Jayciedubb I have a panini sandwich press, I wonder if that would work just as well, but leave the crispy bits.
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@Levenrack are you talking about the corners being crispy?
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Jayciedubb Yeah from the cheese losing containment. 🫠

I think that would be delightful. But then again I love chocolate covered raisins.
Baybreeze · 41-45, F
@cherokeepatti I have not had them in a while and my sister wanted me to buy them 🙂

Search engines pointed to a Sun-Maid page about using their chocolate yogurt covered raisins with pancakes. But the link would not load (it could be my poor connection right now).
https://www.sunmaid.com/products/yogurt-raisins-chocolate/#:~:text=INGREDIENTS%3A%20CHOCOLATE%20YOGURT%20FLAVORED%20COATING,CONTAINS%3A%20MILK%2C%20SOY.
But Google AI said this, with a reference to that page that will not load:

Chocolate yogurt-covered raisins make a creative topping or decoration for pancakes, particularly in themed dishes like snowman pancakes where they are used for eyes and buttons. They can be added to the batter for a melted, chocolatey texture or placed on top for a firm, sweet bite.

That would probably work. Raisin chocolate is always nice and soft.
I miss my mom's pancakes. She used to fold meringue into the batter and it would make really light fluffy pancakes that would absorb enough syrup but not be so heavy or overly sweet. Every time I try to make them, I always over work the meringue and it loses its magic

I'm not sure if the chocolate would just melt away I think it's a bit different than chocolate chips, but might be worth a shot trying?
Levenrack · 46-50, M
I probably wouldn't hate it. Wouldn't even mess with the flavor profile, with syrup.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
The raisins can become boiling so be careful if you try this!
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
It would! I put them in oatmeal.cookies!
Pfuzylogic · M
I would use them as a topping without cooking them.
jackrabbit10 · M
try it all you got to lose is one pancake.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, M
Try it and let us know the result
Prince0217 · M
