Would chocolate raisins work in pancakes?

I want chocolate chip pancakes but I don't have chocolate chips..I do have chocolate yogurt covered raisins...
Would that be nice, or not go together?

I think the texture would be weird for me. But, I at one point didn't think a slice of cheese on apple pie would be good, boy was I wrong

@SarahAndSamantha I've heard of that! I've always wanted to try it..yeah I guess it would be like a raisin cookie in a way, Bec chocolate chip pancakes almost tase like a cookie to me lol. I guess I can try it !

@Baybreeze highly recommend the cheese thing. Also, peanut butter on a cheeseburger.

Never hurts to experiment. If you don't like it, you never have to try it again

@SarahAndSamantha Interesting, peanut butter on a cheeseburger..!! I recently made a burger and added a generous amount of garlic powder in it. Wow it was fantastic..so much better than plain!! Of course I put cheese, tomatoes and pickles on it too lol

@SarahAndSamantha Yeah, I tried a PB Burger @AJ Bombers in downtown Milwaukee. Sadly it closed last year. The burger was excellent though. It also had Nueske's bacon from Wisconsin. It would make a 20-year-old clog taste great. 👍

@SarahAndSamantha I've been meaning to try that for years. But usually lack either the apple pie or the cheese. Today I have both. I think I'm going to try it. What kind of cheese? I have cheese slices and I have shredded cheddar n jack.
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@Levenrack what kind of clog? The kind you wear? Or the kind that won't flush?
SarahAndSamantha · 51-55, T
@Jayciedubb go with the slices. American cheese is traditional...but cheddar? amazing.
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Jayciedubb You can take your pick, TBH. Nueske's Bacon is that good. 😏

@Levenrack have you ever had a bacon waffle? They're delicious. The right amount of salt and sweet and crunchy with Chewy. For some reason, very much better than bacon pancakes. Otherwise I wouldn't mess with waffles. Too much hassle to spread the butter throughout that grid of divots, unless of course you brush it on melted
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Jayciedubb No I haven't. And, I'm with you on the waffles. For me, French Toast is where it's at, but if there's Monte Cristo on the menu, it's getting ordered, real quick like. 😏
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@Levenrack hell yes to the Monte Cristo. Those are screaming!

Edit: the first thing that entered my mind when I read French toast was Monte cristo. Swear to God. I was surprised to see it was next on the list. I don't know too many people who know what they are
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Jayciedubb I don't know. Is it an Americanized abomination? And....
Yes it is.

French original version, it's just toasted not "French Toasted".
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@Levenrack it's the french toast that makes it. My wife bought a kinda sandwich press that woukd grill and press sandwiches together with their edges all sealed. After having my first Monte Cristo, I explained it to her and she added that twist to them and make me one like that before work everyday for a while. Then she moved on to something else. They were delicious though and I wish I knew where she she stuffed that sandwich maker. Yet another secret she took with her to the grave..

@Jayciedubb I have a panini sandwich press, I wonder if that would work just as well, but leave the crispy bits.
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@Levenrack are you talking about the corners being crispy?
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Jayciedubb Yeah from the cheese losing containment. 🫠
