@Miklee02 after coffee, time for some brandy and quiet time together in either the library or rec room at the bar
Chaoshead · 22-25, M
@saragoodtimes As an Italian, not having coffee after dinner is sacrilegious.

I think it does because when I drink coffee , let’s say at 9 pm I can only fall asleep around 2-3 am, I stay alert all night.

I've never seen someone that's been awake 60+ hours straight that claimed coffee doesn't help... 🤔

As a student I didn't drink the stuff, as a worker it's a basic necessity, so I think that it has got nothing to do with the mind at all

I read somewhere that you would wake up faster and feel better by consuming a 12 oz glass of water and 4 oz of orange juice.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Nope -- caffeine is a stimulant, can even cause withdrawal effects in some people who try to give it up.
I wish my coffee would wake me up while I am still in bed…

I used to love coffee. Now it just dehydrates me and gives me tummy ache and a headache. And that’s black decaf. I think the effect was all in my head. I just liked the bitter hot blackness.
minxy · 46-50, F
I thought that too, til I switched to decaf.
Not for me as my caffeine tolerance is too high

Caffeine is real

I don’t need it to wake me up, I just love a cup when I wake up. ☕️
Magnolia21 · 22-25, F
It gets the blood pumping, the bowels moving, and the limbs shaking. But it has never once made me feel awake.
Convivial · 26-30, F
The caffeine does

No, caffeine actually is a stimulant. So especially if it’s strong coffee, that’s not a placebo effect.
