I’m gonna cook an all-day Italian meat sauce today 👩‍🍳

Real simple recipe too. It only requires a diced onion, ground beef and pork, several crushed tomatoes, some dry red wine, a couple Parmesan rinds and salt and pepper to taste. That’s it! The only catch is that it takes a minimum of four hours to cook and bring all the delicious heartiness together. But once it’s done, you can use it for a bunch of different dishes, like stuffed shells, lasagna, spaghetti (what I’ll be using mine for), etc. It’s one of those sauces you got to make a day out of, but it’ll be so worth all that time once it’s done. 😋

This is mine, yes i can cook! 1lb Italian sausage ,i lb ground beef, 1 large sweet onion, 5 cloves garlic, 2 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt half teaspoon pepper, 1 3rd cup parsley, 12 oz tomato paste 15 oz can fire roasted tomatos 28 oz can crushed tomatoes 1 half cup chicken broth .Cook 4 hrs . It makes a lot of sauce lol

I typically make an all day sauce twice a month. The only thing I don’t put in it is the onion

@Jenny1234 I don’t think there really is one. Just a recipe I picked up from my mom and she always just called it a meat sauce.

@DrawntoaDistance Maybe if you use Italian sausage, but I’m using regular ground pork.
@Ducky I NEED it with a lil somethin somethin kick. Maybe I’ll just smuggle my own little container of crushed red.

@Ducky That's how I do mine. 1/2 beef, 1/2 hot Italian.
