Following LauraM’s post, what’s your favourite pie?

Of the British meat pies, I like steak and ale pie best. Fray Bentos can be ordered on Amazon, but they are terribly expensive to have them shipped to the USA, (more than $12.00 three years ago!) I know they are inferior pies but I did want to taste something authentic.

Our United States Thanksgiving pie assortment are now appearing in our grocery stores, and of all those, I like Pecan pie the best, served hot, with melting French Vanilla bean ice cream on top.

I buy my pies from a young man, I'm guessing he's only in his early 20s, who makes them himself and has a market stall each week in the town centre. I've never tasted pies like it: absolutely perfect.

My favourite for him is stilton and steak, but I also like his venison and red wine. They are so rich and tasty all you need to do is to put a few vegetables with them and the perfect meal...for me. I love them because he doesn't put onions in any of them except I think his chicken pie.
