I haven't tried combining apples with other fruits when making the pie, but I think pears would blend well because they more or less have the same texture. With quince, what's typical here is a sweet jelly paste but solid in form called ''Membrillo'' (same name as the fruit).


I don't know if quince can be combined with apples and pears, as this way of doing it needs a lot of boiling time to turn it into mush practically.

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE Usually the structure. Of just about anything I make. I can get it to taste good, but my presentation always suffers! I don't make things like that too often though so it really could just be lack of practice.

@ViciDraco It's the thing with baking, lots of practice is needed. I once read that baking is an exact science, it needs precise measurement and baking time to get it right , for the structure to hold up. Don't worry about the presentation, you got the best part right, that you get them to taste good ☺👍
