I love bread pudding but it sticks straight to your arse. I'm pretty good with veg and am happy eating vegetarian meals as well as meat. I try and eat at least 1/3 of a plate of veg or fruit every meal.

I fear I am not overly fond of breads as a rule...however, I do have a few favorites...Cheddar Bay Biscuits which are like cheesy, salted scones in texture...foccacia bread...and dense homemade quickbreads, such as banana nut bread, orange cranberry nut bread...and so on.
I DO love veggies. I am very, very fond of chopped salad, which primarily incorporates cabbage. I also love kale salad with sweet dijon dressing and sweet craisins. I LOVE spinach, and, if done properly, I love baked creamed spinach.
ALL other veggies are under my "approved" list...though I do have to say I prefer them cooked, in stir fries, or steamed, with olive oil margarine on top.

@4meAndyou I love foccacia bread too, I usually make my own out the pizza dough I make.

Buttered Toast and any type jam, marmalade, jelly, peanut butter, yum yum.
And bread pudding until I had to start eating wheat bread I made bread pudding frequently with the raisins, now that's real old school.
But I love my veggies too, greens flavored with salt jowl - buttered corn / peas - candied carrots - and all the rest, with the exception of cauliflower and eggplants (not sure if eggplant is a fruit or vegetable).

@mossyboots
Crumpets, looks tasty and it's American version called waffles 🤔😊.
I had to look it up; reports say tea cakes did originate in Britain, early England and we have the Americanized teacakes,

@mossyboots I need to make some gluten-free English muffins.
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
Yep .. made a tray Friday with some beef bourguignon
Love bread but eat very little of it these days. Like @Degbeme I love a good bagel and have a great coffee/ bagel/ breakfast sammie shop < 1 mile from my home. I try and keep it at 2-3 visits a month .. 'cause I like smaller me vs bigger me.

I'm not allowed a lot of bread (or spuds or pasta) any more. I envy you your diet! But I have always been fond of lots of different vegetables and salad stuffs too
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
I like most all veggies, but with some it depends on how they are cooked. No slimy okra but it’s good fried, pickled or roasted.

Oh! Oh! Grilled sourdough gimme gimme I need. I only eat frozen veggies or fresh produce. Never canned. But it's hard too sometimes. I like brussel sprouts, Swiss Chard, bok choy.

When I was young I had a reputation for being picky. Though I spent a summer at my aunts' place eating in season fresh veggies and realized I just didn't like canned stuff and how my mother cooked them!
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@JonLosAngeles66 I think fresh is always best.
Northerner · 70-79, M
We have similar tastes, I also prefer bread instead of Veggies. I grow a lot of veggies and prefer some of them raw not cooked.🙂
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@Northerner Healthy! I'd like to grow some veg this year, my son has grown tomatoes and had a good yield from them.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
I'm sorry I am not a fan of avocado toast
Finally someone who gets me! 😂
Oh and these are my weakness....

bijouxbroussard · F
@Degbeme What do you put on them ?
FreeorLonely · 51-55, F
I’m with you! I could plow through a fresh loaf of sourdough with a multitude of toppings any day.
HumanEarth · F
I'm a big veggie & meat eater
BizSuitStacy · M
I enjoy most vegetables...eggplant and certain types of squash are the exceptions
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
I love veggies, well most
OriginalNedKelly · M
Love my vegetables and salads
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@OriginalNedKelly I don't think there has been is a vegetable I didn't like. I couldn't go vegetarian or vegan though but everything in moderation, even meat.
IM5688 · 70-79, M
Yes, French fries, potato chips, popcorn and corn chips. Those are my veggies.
pdockal · 56-60, M
Not @ all
bijouxbroussard · F
I don’t like raisins. Not a bit, so no matter what’s surrounding them.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@Degbeme I'll try that!
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@mossyboots Please do and I hope you enjoy them.
tenente · 36-40, M

@Lilnonames This reminds me of something Elvis was fond of eating, but I think he had bananas with it. Heaps of butter anyway.
