@Lilnonames That is just the sort of thing I don't need to see as I'm about to go and make my tea. I'm going to have to open that new loaf of bread I bought this morning. 😋

I'm supposed to eat bread rarely, but I like it so much it's very hard to restrain myself. The best thing I find is to make sure that I run out of it: if it's not in the cupboard, it can't be eaten. I've just bought a seeded whole meal loaf this morning but that will probably last me at least three weeks.

Yeah, finding real bread is a pain sometimes. Most of it is just a chemical foam (based on "food items") baked to hold it's shape. It doesn't smell or taste like bread.
Every so often I break down and throw together some good flour, a substantial amount of kefir, and some fruit juice or sugar. It's a really fast way to get sourdough starter, and the bread taste like it was made with sour cream. I don't have measurements, I just ballpark everything, but you could find a measured recipe on youtube.
Dude, it's delicious!🍽😋

No, I’m sure you’re not alone. But although I like bread, I avoid it, because it’s carbs I just don’t need. 🥺

Im not a fan of bread. I had a loaf and left it on the side. Mould didnt even want it and thst alone put me off. I got put off of McDonalds for the exact same reason. If mould wont eat it then its got to be bad.

I voted Other (comment) - I'm like that with water. I'd rather drink diet colas (poison, I know :( ) but I force myself to sip some water every other day or so.

I find that when I don't eat bread, I crave it.
Some part of the body must need it.

With the hybridized wheats US uses that the genome has gotten very long in a very short evolutionary time period. It is a wonder we can digest it at all.
"Modern wheat is allohexaploid, meaning it contains six sets of chromosomes from three different ancestral species (designated A, B, and D) that hybridized naturally over thousands of years.
...
The bread wheat (hexaploid) genome is extraordinarily large, with about 17 billion base pairs—roughly five times larger than the human genome."

I keep bread in the freezer because I eat it so seldom.

I generally eat it in sandwiches. I like sandwiches. But I don't eat a lot of bread by itself.
