No ! I had chemo today and just checked my blood sugar level and it was 278. I am not a diabetic but the steroids they gave me before the chemo started has caused my blood sugar to spike. I didn’t a high carb meal today, did have about 10 strawberries and one kiwi fruit and some homemade trail mix though. I’ve had a dull headache since I came home from chemo and that’s why. I’ll get up and walk around and try to walk it down.

@PatKirby People that I know keep remarking that I am strong. It feels different this time, my hemoglobin levels are near normal now, and my primary care doctor sent me to a rheumatologist in April. He suggested turmeric and bromelain for inflammation and arthritis pain and I started on that. He also suggested using ceramic cookware and not cooking on high heat. I got my inflammation and pain down now. We are all eating a huge amount of salads each daily, a lot of cruciferous veggies, plenty of lean proteins, sugar-free stevia sweetened yogurt and I’m making smoothies when we want something different for breakfast, using blueberries. Eating berries instead of sweeter fruits is good to lower carbs and those berries have vitamin B-17 which is also known as Laetrile (banned in the USA for cancer support), cruciferous veggies are cancer fights as are the all the foods with beta carotene (vitamin A) that we are loading up on. Ray’s energy seems good, he is still running the car lot business. He has been eating the same foods I make and he has salad at lunch and some lean protein, beans etc. at the car lot. And we are both taking care of one another the best we can, we also have our grandson and he is helping us a lot, he has his drivers license and Ray gave him a car so he runs errands etc for us.

@PatKirby I hope you have someone checking on you or helping you get around. It isn’t easy to recover from surgery and to go home and be on painkillers and do everything for yourself.

@PatKirby I will add you to my prayer list 🙏🙏🙏 I will pray for a quick and speedy recovery.

It sounds great! Enjoy! Good for you! I'll be making my own 3 egg omelet with mushroom, red papper, onion, and havarti cheese. 😋 So we'll be having breakfast together/separately. Lol.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@LadyBronte Mm havarti nice! I need to try that in an omelette!

An omelet and flapjacks? Are you attempting to start your own Denny's here? Let's a... go!!

Also don't apologize for that. There's nothing to feel sorry about preparing for the next day and the future. 😊

Food is life!

Will you be serving coral?

Or is that just like eating rocks? I suppose you could grind it to a powder and season your eggs.

Addendum: Some people in some parts of the world eat some types of coral, but some types are toxic!

One site said:

Yikes!
