Is it really important?

I got sent a picture of someone's dinner and to me it looked like heartattack on the plate.
It's too much food 4 Yorkshire puddings, 5 roast potatoes a large slab of cauliflower cheese, broccoli and cabbage, lots of. Roast pork and coated in gravy.

I showed the photo to my mum, I said look how much food is on this plate isn't that a lot of food?
She immediately asks me is that your partners dinner so I said no...
I then repeated and said is that too much or is that just me? So she repeated is it your partners and I said no, does it matter?
I'm showing you the food?

I wasn't being secretive but sometimes I find things on the Internet and show my mum.

I know I might have been abrupt but does it matter if that's his food or a random does that change the quantity?

Thank you @SophSmiles
@Mellowgirl Which brand of soup did your mama buy you as a child, glidden or sherman williams? 🤔

Some people simply don't focus on the exact thing you would LIKE them to focus upon. My cleaning lady is like that, at times. I'll mention something or other to her, and she goes OFF on some tangent and becomes a bit excitable about her tangent...and it's immensely frustrating...so I sympathize with you.
4meAndyou · F
@Mellowgirl Extremely frustrating! But you should probably mention that your poor little dog is holding it in, waiting for her to arrive. Perhaps that will reach her mind. Perhaps not.

@4meAndyou I don't think she cares.
She's selfish.
It's not nice to say but I'll call it for what it is.

@Mellowgirl Of course it's the worst possible time for you to have to deal with her unreliability...but as long as you are aware that she will probably let you down, it shouldn't sting so much.

@Mellowgirl🤔maybe it was over the top food wise and unhealthy but sounded mouth watering as you described it lol 😆
HannahSky · F
Obviously if it's someone you know she's thinking it's too much and unhealthy.

No it doesn't matter not sure why she would say that.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@HobNoblin im not sure. Ohwell...
Lilymoon · F
yeah that's way too much food in one sitting.
Secretsmile · 51-55, F
It doesn’t matter and yes that is too much food.😧
Fatalice · 41-45, F
No that’s not too Much at all
It sounds like a great deal of food to me, too.
Whose food it is would be irrelevant, although your mother may have been concerned that your partner was headed for a heart attack or stroke and you might have to take care of him. 🤨

@bijouxbroussard

I agree I found this plate scary!

Thank god it's not my partners
@Mellowgirl Wowee ! Yeah, I’d have to share that. 😅
What does it actually matter to you? Some people have high metabolisms, like athletes and body builders especially, and require a lot of calories and carbs to endure strenuous workouts. Others, like my oldest brother, are twig thin and require a lot of calories and carbs to keep some weight on, they burn food like they're a furnace. Who are you to judge what people eat?

@NativePortlander1970 and in the instance of a person who is already over weight. Claiming they want to lose weight, have been advised by their Dr to lose weight. And are having issues with health related to their weight...?

If someone sent you a picture of their food and you have that knowledge there is no way that you or I could ever look at that plate and say delicious. It's a gross amount of food. And highly not necessary.

Fair enough you had a meal and returned for seconds but making a mountain of a plate is a recipe for disaster.

I feel very strongly about this... And I'm judging simply because the plate doesn't look at all appetising.
