In the US they called them something else can't remember what it was something weird as usual; well it got back to the UK and the outrage was such that even Lancastrians started siding with us first time since before the War of the Roses.

edit: 'us' people from Yorkshire.
@GeniUs Here in the US they are called popovers. Same recipe, same great taste, just a different name.
Zero for my lifetime
Coralmist · 41-45, F
I have never had a Yorkshire pudding. 😯
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Coralmist Clearly you must make them and report back.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@SW-User I would probably eat several lol. Is any filling in the middle or plain?
Coralmist · 41-45, F

It's not really a Christmas thing. My hubby wouldn't dream of having YPs at Xmas and he's from Yorkshire 🤣😂
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F

Havesomefun2 · 56-60, M

Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Not had or made any for a long time. I am making French Cruellers at the moment. Rings of dough are chilling now.
onewithshoes · 22-25, F
Guess I'm a 'wrongen' then, as I haven't had any in a very long time, but I do remember liking them.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
None. It's a travesty. Maybe I should whip some up I think I have leftover gravy.
exexec · 61-69, C
Never had one. That didn't seem to follow my English ancestors to the colonies.
ArtieKat · M
I love your username! "Our Mutual Friend" is easily my most favourite Dickens novel.

pentacorn · F

swirlie · 31-35, F
None, after I first discovered that Yorkshire pudding doesn't contain any pudding at all! What a letdown! It was hollow inside but nothing in it! Like, what the hell is that about, Charlie?!
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@swirlie Google will help answer your question.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@Entwistle
So, you're saying that Shepherds Pie is filled with google and not Yorkshire pudding then?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@swirlie Maybe!!
I haven't had any Yorkshire puddings since I left Las Vegas 13 years ago, there's an English pub on East Tropicana, called the Crown and Anchor, that makes some great ones to go along with their bangers and mash, fish and chips, or shepherd's pie. I forget from where in England the owner's from, but it wasn't London.
