What Would You Make Yourself For Dinner Today If You Could Be Bothered?

DrWatson · 70-79, M
I am going to make pasta with garlic, anchovies, oil, and grated asiago cheese, with some zucchini .
Archetype · 26-30
Peasant can be pleasant lol.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Archetype Definitely! In fact, my mother used to laugh about how so much of what she considered to be peasant food became "gourmet" to others!

(I use the word "posh" means fancy, expensive, luxurious etc. Maybe you use it differently.)
Archetype · 26-30
@DrWatson I was using in the context of fancy but mainly due to to ingredients names sounding as such. My imagination isn't always aligned with reality lol.

Feeling very lazy today! I cooked some basmati rice, took some boned cooked chicken thighs out of the freezer and opened a tin of Thai vegetable curry (which I got cheap from a community food shop).
Archetype · 26-30
@ArtieKat What would you have if you weren't feeling lazy and had the resources?
ArtieKat · M
@Archetype I didn't know what I was in the mood for. I've got a freezer full of all sorts of meat and fish... fresh veg - resources wasn't the issue
4meAndyou · F
I'm having a tossed salad, (super large), with shredded cheddar cheese and freeze dried apple crisps, walnuts, and tuna.
Archetype · 26-30
@4meAndyou Very nice, healthy too!
Vin53 · M
Everyone in the world should experience the joy of good, good lasagna in their life.

@Vin53 I can thank my mother and grandmother for that!

@Musicman Yes. Lack of supplies.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@PoetryNEmotion That will definitely do it. No chance of a fast grocery store run?

deadteddy · 26-30, F
@Archetype Ofc it’s gonna be homemade. What made you think it would be store bought ? 🤣
Archetype · 26-30
@deadteddy I suppose the nonchalant one word answer I would associate with a lazy tin of soup, rather than a homemade one seasoned with pepper and parsley 😅😂
