Do butcher shops offer a better product?

In my experience butchers provide a much better product than supermarkets 🐼🥢🙂

the meat is usually fresher and you get a custom cut to your specs. I find the personal touch is well worth the price paid

Butchers often hand pic the beef while it's still on the hoof and take possession of it immediately after butchering and let it age in their own coolers.

Yes! Prices aren't really that much more and the quality is superb.

I haven't been to many, but those I have been to usually offer a broader selection of cuts and more ability to customize what you want. A butcher and a good grocery store are going to have comparable quality with the butcher shop just having more choice and control.

A butcher shop vs something like Walmart, the butcher shop is probably going to win out. But I might be biased from having gotten sick from Walmart meat more than once.
