@SW-User too late and too late!! Haha

SW-User
@Spokeskitties75 dammit man!😣
Madhatter · 31-35, M
I've eaten alligator. It's pretty common here, but people online tend to think it's odd.
Madhatter · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard I live in Louisiana.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Madhatter My parents are from there.
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@Madhatter agreed... I’d eat it all the time if I could get it fresh here in PA
amObsolete · 100+, T
Fried cactus is delicious.
bijouxbroussard · F

Winenot · 51-55, F
@bijouxbroussard I’ve had it but didn’t like it.

@Spokeskitties75 haha I've been eating those like crazy lately!
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic they are great!!! All the time

SW-User
I was going to say crickets but then I remembered I ate pineapple pizza. What a strange combination.
Bulma · 26-30, F
Octopus. It's... interesting.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Bulma It is, isn’t it ? I first ordered it by accident in an Italian restaurant. “I think it’s fish”, my mother, who doesn’t speak Italian either, said. With spaghetti. So when they brought out the platter with a small, whole octopus draped over spaghetti...
bijouxbroussard · F
Eel is apparently not something everyone eats, but I love unagi. I’ve had escargot (meh). And don’t recall it but Pop told me I’ve had alligator and apparently liked it, as a child. The older people would put it in their gumbo. 😳
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@bijouxbroussard I still want to try eel and alligator. Sushi in a place as landlocked as Alberta doesn't get too varied.

SW-User
@bijouxbroussard Oh God! Marc turned me on to ungai. I am hooked!!
JupiterDreams · 31-35
Squid rings.
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@JupiterDreams Calamari? I have that like all the time! Yummy
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@Spokeskitties75 I'd never had it until going overseas. 😅
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
crickets, that's pretty much it, I'm not a "i'll try anything once" type when it comes to food.
Winenot · 51-55, F
@reflectingmonkey Me neither!
hlpflwthat · M
Done all 4 of those. Foie gras just gets to me. And caviar.
Winenot · 51-55, F
@hlpflwthat What is Foie Gras?
hlpflwthat · M
@Winenot The liver of a duck or goose that has been fattened by force-feeding it corn through a feeding tube,
Angeleyez · 51-55, F
I’ve eaten everything up there except crickets 🦗

SW-User
@Angeleyez Not the best delicacy
Angeleyez · 51-55, F
@SW-User most of it was very good. Just gotta know how to cook it
Fernie · F
a very long time ago I ate one oyster/loogie....I still get queasy when I think of that moment
Thingschange4444 · 56-60, M
I know a few Chinese and I've sometimes tasted food without even asking. A few things have felt like snot running down my throat. Some nice. Some absolutely gross.
CallmeHopelessNotRomantic · 46-50, F
I am not adventurous about the food i eat 😂
Winenot · 51-55, F
@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic Me neither but I’ve tried some different flavored M&M’s.
CallmeHopelessNotRomantic · 46-50, F
@Winenot i love the caramel ones!
SweetCandy · F
Quail eggs and eel.
Winenot · 51-55, F
@SweetCandy Oh! I’ve had quail, theres my adventure! And caviar. That’s about it.
SweetCandy · F
@Winenot I never had caviar. Someone told me it's fish eggs? I don't like fish so the eggs would be worse! 🙁
Winenot · 51-55, F
@SweetCandy It is, I had it years ago. Wasn’t impressed.
revenant · F
tongue. brain, intestines etc
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
I like fish eyes
Winenot · 51-55, F
@Spokeskitties75 No!

SW-User
@Spokeskitties75 yes!
mrmoose · 70-79, M
hagis
mrmoose · 70-79, M
@Winenot There are many recipes for haggis, most of which include the following ingredients: sheep's "pluck" (offal) (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours

SW-User
Yeah cow tongue! Unskinned, 3 full length, hanging over a huge platter, scattered with boiled potatoes and cabbage. Lovely! 🤢

SW-User
Ox tail
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
@SW-User a Jamaican friend was telling me its very good, apparently very common to eat in Jamaica, it was the first time I ever heard of that

SW-User

Cobra.
Byron8by7 · M
@reflectingmonkey
At a restaurant in the USA, when they had a "wild exotic game" night. We also had tiger, and a few others I forget. All were extremely underwhelming. The cobra was very tough. I feel like I'm still chewing it.

melloquacious · 36-40, M
Pork brains, I guess. They have a ton of cholesterol and they go well with scrambled eggs.
Winenot · 51-55, F
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
Papple Moose Juice
Winenot · 51-55, F
@hippyjoe1955 What is that?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I've had tongue and brain. They're fine. Organ meat doens't really squidge me out. We kill an animal we should eat every part of it we can.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Winenot The royal 'we' being humanity. I think just as a moral rule if we're gonna raise and kill critters we should at least make use of the entire animal.
Winenot · 51-55, F
@CountScrofula Ahh, I understand that and even agree, just can’t seem to stomach it.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Winenot Well it's a social thing. I grew up eating that stuff and most people didn't. I'm not going to cause people grief for being turned off by offal because it's weird and unusual. Making it 'normal' food is a bigger change for later generations.
Not crickets but locusts, toungue-yes, RMO-yes, Brain-yes
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
Goat brain with scrambled eggs and tequila with beer for breakfast.
Tongue sandwiches.
Tongue sandwiches.
Winenot · 51-55, F
@Groofydorkgerdo 🤢 Sounds delish.
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@Winenot The goat brain and scrambled eggs tasting just like scrambled eggs and sausage. It tasted sausage with out all the fat and oils, and grease, and salt and what ever other crap they out in sausage nowadays.
Real good actually.
One of the best egg dishes I've ever had.
And this from a guy who makes home made egg custard and meringue.

Goat testicles...I didn't know that was what it was at the time.
Angeleyez · 51-55, F
@SW-User speaking from my up bringing and the way Native ppl view life, if an animal sacrifices its life so that we can live then we shouldn’t waste any of it.

SW-User
@Angeleyez Noble and honorable, but some things of an animal I just won't eat! Respect though to Natives.
Angeleyez · 51-55, F
@SW-User I understand many ppl are this way. It’s all good
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M

Winenot · 51-55, F
@JimboSaturn I have some inappropriate jokes rolling around my head but this post is marked non-adult so 🤐
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M

Winenot · 51-55, F
