After years of Americans pointing and laughing at other country’s misfortune, it’s almost enjoyable watching Hollywood burn.

Don’t worry for poor Paris Hilton, she’ll make millions on the insurance.

Maybe another gender reveal party caused it again…

I'm sorry to not join the enthusiasm when even I would talk about karma if this were an individual fire like Joes kitchen but this is a real catastrophe I see no need no need to celebrate. Yes many of them are financially better off than us but loosing everything is still painful and we wouldn't want it to happen to us.

@HobNoblin True except James Woods at least.

Be careful what you laugh at and look down on, it could change in an instant and you may find yourself in the same situation, or worse.

@Magenta ... and then he might find out the hard way how it feels to be laughed at, and looked down on.

Nothing enjoyable about it. It's fascinating and awe-inspiring but I'm not that low that I'd revel in misfortune of hundreds of people I know nothing about. Also, I don't like watching pretty things burn.
I just always wondered about the insurance of houses in these areas because they have always been high-risk and insurance companies know that. Like come on...if redwood has been growing there for centuries, wildfires anywhere in the area are hardly a surprise. Everyone living there must be aware of the risk. Same with earthquakes.
@CrazyMusicLover I’m not enjoying watching redwoods burn, I’m enjoying watching villas burn.

Perhaps the ignored people of tent city will make space for them.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@DazzaTheHutt I meant pretty houses. I mentioned redwoods as the evidence that it's a wildfire area as redwoods evolutionary developed specific bark that protects them against fire. People can't blame this on climate etc. wildfires have been normal there for centuries. That's why I'm curious about the insurance conditions there because it's a high-risk area.
@CrazyMusicLover It depends upon the insurer I suppose and what insurable risk they decide to cover or not.
Condescending post and not true!!!!

@NoGamesTolerated To enjoy watching others suffer is a horrible thing. 👎🏼
Who are the Americans pointing and laughing at other countries misfortunes? I certainly don't and don't know anyone who does.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
hey, it's not funny. Paris Hilton is a freakin goddess. Why are you jealous?
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@nobodyishome I don't know that I agree about Paris but I definitely agree there's nothing funny about this.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@Gibbon what's wrong with being rich? But I do understand why you mean that though. I saw this video on fb today, where a really dashing, rich looking woman gave a street painter only 10 euros to paint like an effing awesome, super-duper nice spray painting on a Louis Vuitton Bag. Can you believe it. Only 10 euros. Wtf. And the painting was so beautiful. I felt bad.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@nobodyishome I didn't say anything was wrong with being rich. Many losing their properties are. I agreed there's nothing funny about this.
What Americans have laughed at the misfortune of others? And who are the others?
@NoGamesTolerated Typical, do you think you’re the only country?
@DazzaTheHutt I’m not that ignorant.. convo over!
The plan is to rebuild it like before and drive home to the suburbs!
No change.
As always, it's not just California!
Wherever things fail or break Americans plan for cars and maximum homelessness. Conservative.
Nobody in the USA besides me links the disaster to the causes like the cars and the solutions like walkable cities and mass transit. ! I'm the only person ever to consider change.

The fires will be blamed on space lasers again.
@zonavar68 Most likely.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
The orange traitor probably had a gallon of champange in celebration of the Los Angele County fires. He will now be able to boast about all of the new construction jobs as a result of him becoming President.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@Diotrephes More alternative facts and instinctive correctness and phantom pointing.

IMO, you would be a very ineffective detective.

Muahaha very funny 😐

There's something of schadenfreude that the very rich, who are largely responsible for the environmental mess we're in, are now getting some payback. My heart goes out to everyone else, though :(

If the actually hollywood sign was to burn that would be the best thing ever. 8-)

@Tumbleweed Try not to laugh too hard. Statistically you are likely to be morbidly obese and a weak heart can’t take that labor for long.
