@Stereoguy I don't know, I'm kinda on the fence - for example, we all work in a small office and are all vax. We hired a new person, had a very nice candidate that wasn't vax, and would not be getting, so we chose the vax candidate - why should we hire someone with greater potential to get sick/miss work and even spread in the office - seems draconian, but also a simple decision. that law is crazy - stay safe!

I saw a lot of famous people when I worked at the bookstore. Rebecca DeMornay was gorgeous. I had such a crush on Haley Mills when I was 12 and one day I looked up from the desk where I was sitting and there she was. Got to hang out with Brian Wilson and twice with Mickey Hart. Lots of famous writers. Hillary Clinton during the 1992 campaign.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Al Michaels
Kate Jackson (from the original Charle's Angels)
Dennis Rodman (in Vegas, shocking 😂)
Urban Meyer

I've met Barack Obama, but that at the end of a rally in my past life in local politics.

wildbill83 · 36-40, M
Quite a few, between all the tourists that visit here for the views and singers that have summer homes here to my summers spent at Hilton Head Island years ago (which is almost entirely populated by celebrities and rich ceo's); My father also did some work for several years for Eric Hunter, the founder/CEO of Cree research (the company that makes the led's for most of your electronic devices); met quite a few famous people as a result/by association.
skmokisses · 46-50, F

Adogslife · 61-69, M
I got to hit shots for Arnold Palmer when I was 15. Two shots only from about 60 yards into a green. I’m not sure I’ve ever been more nervous. The first shot I stuck to inside 8’.

Other than almost shitting myself and being in complete awe, all I remember is that his forearms were freaking massive.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Yeah, there is a restaurant on the beach called 'Star of Greece' that Russell Crowe apparently likes to go. It's all a bit overpriced.

And Troye Sivan was at a shopping centre a few months back. Only saw him from a distance. Poor bastard got swarmed by fans.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
Yes, I'm positive I saw Mick Hucknall walking down Deansgate in Manchester on September 12th 1998.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@REMsleep You don't remember Simply Red? One of the biggest-selling bands of the 1990s? Mick Hucknall is their singer.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@NankerPhelge I just looked it up but I hadn't heard of them. Im in the US and plus in a younger age set than you/them so I'm clueless.

I just Googled their top hits and yes I did know well a couple of their songs because it was on the radio alot when I was young but it was by a nameless artist to me. Never heard their name.
Thanks for the education
NotNowJoanna · 56-60, F
I loved them! @NankerPhelge
Onthewing73 · 46-50, M
I rode on a plane a few seats behind Tom Petty once. It was many years ago. And yes I was that dork who caught up with him in the concourse after we landed and asked for his autograph in my journal. I was 17 or so I think.
Had the pleasure of kindness and conversation with Colin Farrell.

Shook hands with John Travolta. Duchess Sarah Ferguson.

Face to face with Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon.
BigBulge · 41-45, M
I was in Los Angeles. A friend and I went out for breakfast. We were waiting to be seated, and who should walk out but Jerry Seinfeld, just as casual as could be...
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Woody Harrelson, Dr. Phil and Jimmy Dean (the country music star/sausage maker)
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@cherokeepatti haha perhapsI am showing my age or just ignorance but I didn't even know that Jimmy Dean did music
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F

Shook hands with and got autographs from Bette Midler, and Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin.
I've seen many country music stars where I live.

REMsleep · 41-45, F
Ludacris, Beyonce's mom dad and sister grocery shopping.
Former basketball player Mutambo on a daily basis.
Ice Cube,Laura Bush eating dinner next to her table. Lyle Lovett. Carmelo Anthony, James Harden.
Probably quite a few more that I can't remember. Monica Lewinsky went shopping at my job but I didn't even care to go out and look.
And those are just ones Ive seen in touching distance and totally random. I've seen more because I purposely was somewhere.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Other than local TV personalities and radio personalities and very rich people well known in the international community..... What do you define as famous.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 Any well known political figure, any movie or TV star even if they have C- list fame.Even social media fame counts nowadays.
Its all relative of course but if you think that they are famous then they are.
My opinion
Years ago in Deadwood, SD., we walked on the sidewalk with Kevin Costner.

He was headed to his casino, the Midnight Star, which he has since sold.
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
When I was young we were going through a park and we saw Raymond Burr as he was filming Parry Mason
Trippin · F
Penn Jillette...Vegas. Passed out 100$s to some friends and I on the street.
Oh yes! This area is used a lot for movies. We have quite a few living here.
James Hetfield at an airport once. I have met others as well.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
Nope. My town would be perfect for a horror movie after dark
I have met many.
Seen several.
So...yes.
In the early 80s, my husband and I were looking for parking near a cafe over in the Panhandle and he thought he saw Robin Williams. It was him, but we didn’t get to meet him, alas. I did meet our governor, Gavin Newsom, who was then mayor, coming back to work from lunch. I rode up in the elevator with him and we chatted. His photos didn’t do him justice. 🥴
caesar7 · 61-69, M
Yes...famous for me but maybe not for others....
