Would it be ethical to genetically modify plants so that money grows on trees ?

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
If you could plant the right type of trees it might be just as good or even better as money growing on them. Trees that have healing qualities in their leaves, fruit, roots, etc.
@cherokeepatti It should only take less than a day, find out who has sudden money, then look at all their issued licenses, three hours max. But as you know, most state investigators have the brains of a gnat.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@NativePortlander1970 Well if there’s a higher up involved in this it’s going to take even more time… such as being out of office.
@cherokeepatti Always the case, wasting taxpayer money every chance they get
AbbeyRhode · F
Might as well, "Bidenomics" is making money more worthless by the day.
Nimbus · M
@AbbeyRhode Good point!
BlueVeins · 22-25
Obviously, no.
Nimbus · M
@BlueVeins 👍
ShadowWorker · 61-69, F
Nope... wouldn't have any value...just like leaves!💥
Nimbus · M
@ShadowWorker Drat!
There goes another plan. ;)
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Then money would loose value. Same thing that happens when the government prints more money. Causes inflation.
Nimbus · M
@GuyWithOpinions How can that be circumvented?
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@Nimbus maybe... lower our standards. Then you need less things. Or get skills to create for ourselves. Like gardening and renovating so your basic needs are met without having to purchase things. Or get a skill where you create things you can sell to other people as a hobby. Or find happiness in things that dont cost money.
4meAndyou · F
A serious inflationary move, IMO. But money does grow on cannabis plants...or so I'm told. 🤣🤣🤣
Nimbus · M
@4meAndyou I believe you, many wouldn't ;)
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
If we were to use acorns or pinecones as currancy.
Nimbus · M
@badminton That's a good idea 👍
TexChik · F
GMO is bad for you
Nimbus · M
@TexChik True, it is almost pushed down our throat ;)
Democratic government was supposed to hold the keys to the mints and money press, but people chose war and oligarchs instead, and now we're unable to change that.
Nimbus · M
@Roundandroundwego A self perpetuating cycle that we cannot escape from.
@Nimbus sorry, no - creating wealth and funding the democracy.
shuhak · M
Best to grow money on bushes/shrubs. Climbing trees is a lot of work.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@shuhak not if you have a team of trained monkeys helping. They started volunteering to help in one country when they watched other fruit picking monkeys being rewarded
Nimbus · M
@shuhak And not easy on the knees.
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
Plant a fruit tree and sell the fruit, or eat it and don't buy fruit.
Nimbus · M
@AlchemyFox Both would be fruitful ;) 👍
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
Inflation has never been so environmentally friendly 😂
Nimbus · M
@Zaphod42 Ooops!
Might have started a trend ;)
smiler2012 · 56-60
@Nimbus 😆i think some woman nimby actually already think that is true lol
Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 Mrs. Smiler?
Yes, if those plants belonged to me …
Nimbus · M
@Soossie Then you would be a multi millionaire ;)
@Nimbus

I’d like that idea if I wouldn’t be accused of money laundering
imagine what the guys on SW would do with a country
Nimbus · M
@saragoodtimes There would still be arguments! :)
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
Not if you pay me hush money
Nimbus · M
@Justmeraeagain Will $10 suffice?
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Nimbus no
exchrist · 31-35
Itd be ethical but itd be forgery too. So illegal.
Nimbus · M
@exchrist Drat.
Legal issues always get in the way ;)
Money does grow on trees, well, more accurately, shrubs.
Nimbus · M
@NativePortlander1970 Looks good to me ;)
