Homeschooling has been amazing!

My children will never require a bulletproof backpack to be safe! That is something I will forever be greatful for.

My neighbor across the County Road shoots regularly in his yard. Their neighbor was a pro rodeo rider. His horse was killed by a bullet. He couldn't prove the neighbor was the shooter. He sold his land and moved away.

The new owners are building a retirement community of Tiny Houses, senior citizens. I am a senior citizen, living across the road from the shooter.

When your number's up, it's up.

The world is never a safe place, never was, never will be.

@walabby

Somehow I can see you donning something like that 🙄
walabby · M
@Thrust Why? 🤔
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@Thrust the national home education research Institute conducted a study in 2017 that states that children who are homeschooled are 40% less likely to experience abuse, neglect, and death. Many of the cases were from school employees.

@thechik96 As I said I'm a fan of home schooling. Anything to take power from the grasping claws of gubmint and unions
PHlover19701 · 56-60, M
News reports in Philly show kids and adults getting shot with stray bullets while in their home or sleeping in bed... happens far too frequently.
Selah ·
I would still check their backpacks if I were you
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@Selah they are homeschooled they don't even have backpacks
Monalisasmith86 · 36-40, F
@Selah exactly
popmol · 26-30, M
i hope you give them good quality schooling so its not abuse.
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@popmol they attend sports, cubs, a weekly Co op, summer camp. We have social covered
popmol · 26-30, M
@thechik96 well as long as you now give good lessons that should be fine! i hope your science is as up to date as possible and math goes well!
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@popmol they live on a farm. We have dissected animals, learned about parasites, learned the anatomy of most things, learned plant identification.... They also know chemistry and algebra because they help me dose medication for the animals. They know fractions through baking. Build structures with us and learn how to measure and multiply.
Convivial · 26-30, F
It's working out well for you?
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@Convivial amazing

And a lot less laundry to do as well.
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
no, but you are ensuring they still socialize with their friends yeah?
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@WolfGirlwh0r3 absolutely!
WolfGirlwh0r3 · 36-40, T
@thechik96 good, i worry some folx just think about homeschooling at the education part, not also including kids needing socialization, LOL
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@WolfGirlwh0r3 those arguments become completely null and void when you see a six year old on the news who covered herself in her best friends blood to remain unseen by a 🔫. My children will be taught by me till they are in middle school then will attend online middle/HS so that they can prepare for college online class structure.

@thechik96 just give the students bulletproof vests then
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@Jenny1234 where it shouldn't be needed it is unfortunately. I wish our country did better
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
At some point, they are going to have to leave home.

@MarkPaul and I'm mitigating the risks the best I can
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@thechik96 The world won't treat them differently because they were home-schooled. There is certainly nothing wrong with home-schooling but using it as a way to keep the kids safe is only encasing them in artificial safety... unless you keep them at home forever.
They will probably never learn to interact with other humans in an acceptable way either.
thechik96 · 26-30, F
@AlienTheExtraterrestrial their intellect and socialization skills prove you wrong. They also are in sports and multiple clubs. We will be fine. It's much better than learning how to hide from a 🔫 in a public school, bullying, and abusive teachers
@thechik96 Pass me some of that copium

@jshm2 bold of you to think my children don't test above average on their state exams. My methods prove otherwise. My children are well rounded. Their grandmother is a retired teacher whom helps me plan their yearly courses.b

@Thrust wow you had some much intellectual content in this comment. Its mind-blowing.
Thrust · 56-60, M
@thechik96 So what % of children who go to school get blown away by skerry guns (that shoot themselves)? 80? 90? or much higher?

Much higher than soldiers in Stalingrad I bet
