Please don’t send your kids sick

It's the same at work. I've had to send one of my cleaning team home during the last week because she had a cold for a week. I can't be sure but think I might have caught a cold off her.

What if you're one day away from missing a mortgage payment? Groceries for said kids?

When I was working at home I had the option to stay home with them when they were sick, now I don't. Their mom has bills to pay as well

Well at time's u just can't take the time off. Who know how long the child will be sick. I know for me if I was sick it wouldn't take just a day or two to get over it. My mom did take me to school sick.

Viruses spread before symptoms, so staying home doesn't work unless it's everyday all day. And most people don't send vomiting children anywhere. By then, they've already spread it around anyway.

True story: Junior High school nurse calls mother to tell her that her daughter has a fever of 102º and can she come and take the kid to a doctor. Mother tells the nurse, "Keep her, I have to go shopping."

My job would not allow any one to work with a temp more then 101 during covid. Now even if you have ebola you can not take off. Still required to come in even if you are sick. They enforced insane rules during covid,...but now they are all invalid.

I agree 100% most jobs have sick leave and pto. Most can stay home with sick kids and still get paid. Not only kids but adults that come to work sick. Nobody wants that $hit. Now we have to lose work because you gave it to everyone at work and then they have to take it home and the whole family gets sick. There should be laws that protect workers from being exposed to sickness at work and children at school.

Are you in the UK? Schools here nowadays often demand proof of a child's illness, such as a note from a registered medical practioner. Absent such proof, the absence is deemed unauhorised and the parents are fined.

You should have your child stay home if they are sick, and love and care for them. Are they missing anything? Not in this world.

Schools often complain when you keep kids home and accuse you of being a bad parent, and keeping them out too many days. But yet closed schools illegally during covid.

Yes, it is very annoying. But when those self-same parents insist on coming into the office to share their coughs and colds with their colleagues, what hope is there for common courtesy? 🤷‍♀

Can only speak for uk. But does not help that you cannot get a doctor appointment for two or three weeks

I don't have any kids so you don't have to worry about me sending my kids anywhere sick or healthy.

My friend can't afford a doctors visit every time the kids are sick, With no doctors excuse three times they must go to truency hearing

Same thing at the workplace if you have to show up sick mask and gloves..

Teachers work sick. They're viciously against the ones who don't! Just go along! Health ain't in your plans when you drop off the kids using cars! Coughing road kill can just go to work and school anyway.
Buildings need better filters and circulation of air but during covid we couldn't install them! Going back to normal never ever includes upgrades or updates in sick failing war loving USA!!!
Legionaries disease in the seventies made us ask why we ain't put the filters in after Spanish flu? Dysfunctional is more dangerous,! Americans are better with danger than health.
