Do you and your family say grace before dinner?

I live on my own, but always give a silent thanksgiving as I eat. In a world that still has plenty of those who don't, I am grateful to God.

It was used in my school in the 1960s (more than half a century ago!) and is still a rather ceremonial touch to the semI-formal Annual Dinner of a long-established club to which I belong.

It doesn't mean anything if you are not religious; nor if just a ritual for the sake of ritual or "we've always done it" (to avoid thinking?).

No. Although I did at school and when I moved schools because of moving to a new area I didn’t there either. I’m not sure what that was all about in the first school.

My daughter is named Grace, so I do say things to Grace before dinner.
