It is always so horrible when a parent passes. Please do yourself a favor and find a way to stop protecting yourself and allow yourself to grieve for her. Cry, yell, but get that poison out of your heart and soul. No one should carry that around; she never would have wanted you to suffer her passing for the rest of your life. I am sorry she passed and that she was ill. That hurts everyone. Be there for your dad; you guys need each other.

The silence and the sudden remembering that they are not there catches you. It's never easy to lose those very close to us and to lose your mom to a horrible disease when you are still so young, must be even worse. I hope really good friends will be there for you at this time and the pain is eased at least a little by fond memories.
