So much, main thing is move my kitchen downstairs. It’s on the middle floor. 😑

@Nimbus
yeah we seem to have a lot here in the uk 🇬🇧 I do like the house, it just needs changing about.
Make it more practical.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@SW-User you live in a 3 story house?
Are they common in the UK?
SW-User
@iamnikki

Yeah very common here.
Bout 5 feet of dirt..
I’m right on the water table
@Nimbus we don’t dig holes 🤓
Stepping stones for when it rains too much

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Need a home on stilts, some have them here in flood areas.
AbbeyRhode · F
Its location.
Nimbus · M
@AbbeyRhode AWwwwww ❤️
TexChik · F
Oh it’s time for new flooring . Keeping carpet in the bedrooms , going to try wood in the high traffic areas and the family room .
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Put a new sign up,

NO BLOOD PUDDING on these premises
4meAndyou · F
I'm still going on about the broken travis rods. 😢
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou what’s a Travis rod?
4meAndyou · F
@Adogslife Each pleat of the curtain is attached to a hook, and the hook is attached to a (normally) movable plastic piece that is supposed to slide along a piece of string that is supposed to fit inside the rod. I think I was supposed to have spelled it "Traverse Rod".
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou That’s what I thought. I’d never heard of a Travis rod and was like wtf is that 😂
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Larger kitchen dining area & a walk-in pantry.

Insulate it. It is cold in the winter. And fix the one roof too.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Not to have to pay rates😂😂😂
Nimbus · M
@Dlrannie I'm guessing quite expensive where you live!
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Add an extra bedroom
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Realistically….a new dishwasher and tiles in the living area that look like wood floors. My neighbor has those tiles and so easy to clean…I am not a fan of wall-to-wall carpeting especially in public areas.
Make our flat bigger- it's a small one storey so no escaping anyone and it's open between the living "room" and kitchen, no door- which genius thought of that 🤷‍♂️
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Replace the windows. The contractor went cheap. I have 18 windows and know it will be expensive to be done right.
Nimbus · M
Renovate the kitchen, the basement bathroom, and new flooring upstairs.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
Bigger bathroom so we could fit a bigger bath tub.

That and better ventilation and I would be very satisfied.
olderuncle944 · 70-79, M
redo kitchen and bathrooms and change living room to more open space
Atlotto · M
A wall dividing the great room to make it two (dining room and a living room) rooms.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Atlotto not a fan of all these open concept homes. I like a kitchen and dining area that is section off better from the living area.
Atlotto · M
@cherokeepatti
not a fan of all these open concept homes

I'm not, now.

I have a small dining area in my kitchen...The other dining area shares the same room with my living area. I would like a wall to divide the two.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Atlotto I am old enough to remember when all homes had divided living areas from the dining/kitchen areas. When we’d have company the men would either go outside in good weather or to the living room in colder weather and chat while the ladies were preparing dinner and having their own lady chats in the kitchen separately. That was a nice era.
exexec · 70-79, C
Make the kitchen a bit larger.
Nimbus · M
@exexec Me too.
Punches · 46-50, F
Lot nicer bathroom. The one in my house is awkward and narrow.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
It needs a paint job.
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
Lots of stuff to be renovated. It's an old house so it's whatever. The big change would be a thorough cleaning of my grandparent's apartment bc it absolutely reeks of cigarettes
smiler2012 · 61-69
{@nimbus] 🤔make a secret stash so i can hide my illicit ill gotten gain from the busies nimby lol
Nimbus · M
@smiler2012 You've been warned about growing weed! ;)

Another bedroom so nieces could spend the night now and then, just for fun.
AlienWhiteP0wer · 36-40, M
It would be clean
Loft conversion
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
I would like a walk in pantry and storage room. Of course a new metal roof and impact resistant windows would be awesome too. 🙂
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@cherokeepatti The average cost for a metal roof here is $30k.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Musicman should last about 30 years though shouldn’t they? It would be an investment if a person was planning on living in a home for life.
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@cherokeepatti You are correct on both accounts.
Lilnonames · F
Let me own it instead of renting
