Whats the benefit of having kids?

Top | New | Old
You can train them to steal things for you
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@BacarySagnasleftankle They're small, they can get into small spaces and then unlock the door for you.
dale74 · M
They allow you to experience life through their eyes
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@dale74 yes
SW-User
They made me a stronger better person, I'm fulfilled because I have someone to love, nurture and be responsible for and I'm less selfish. I have to think about what's best for them and our whole family unit and although they are really hard work at times, they are rewarding and really fun to be around 😊
Curly00 · 31-35, F
They show how little things can make you happy
They teach you sincerity
They reflect parts of yourself and with them you learn patiance and how to stay calm in different situations
👣🙂
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Curly00 my first job taught me all of that
Curly00 · 31-35, F
@Donotfolowme What was your job then?
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Curly00 Quality analysis
they give me a reason to keep going
Sazzio · 36-40, M
More humans to continue Mankind.

Although I agree, look after u when they get older as stated by Spoliedbrat but it is ideal to train them into independence once they're 12 onwards.

In India kids stay with parents but some achieve independcy (my cousins) but others become a liability and don't work. They pester their parents for stash (my 30 yrs old bro in law).

Someone to do chores when you don't want to. It's the purpose, but it doesn't work 😁
Lumberjack70 · 56-60, M
Spare parts? Tax write off?
They take care of you when you get old.
Eternity · 26-30, M
I guess you can guilt them into taking care of you when you're too old to take care of yourself anymore.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Eternity hahah guilt so you feel kids have no responsibility or obligation to look after the ones who got them into this World
Eternity · 26-30, M
@Donotfolowme no.

should they want to? Yeah probably so.

But they don't have to.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Eternity if you read all the other answers most people are raising kids in the hope of getting looked after in their older times
Ah poor them 🤭
chrisCA · M
Tax benefits, social payments, someone to look after you in your old age, and to carry on your name.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
prolongs the species
SW-User
@samueltyler2 that hasn't happened with animals.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SW-User Interestingly, with animals, once the need to procreate is over, when an animal ages out of the reproductive age, they tend to die. Their need in evolution over, they end up expendable. There are exceptions to that rule, some matriarchal societies have older females, as in elephants and some lions, but it is mostly the facts of life.
SW-User
@samueltyler2 we probably would too if medical science wasn't as advanced.
Convivial · 26-30, F
Unfortunately for some, it shows up the holes in their character... And worse, the kids pay the price
SW-User
@Convivial very true 😔
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
Keep you active and growth see how you were as a child. Reap your karma.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@Heavenlywarrior reap your karma made me laugh
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@eMortal oh ffs any Royals around
Having someone to care for you, as you get old.
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@bijouxbroussard thats not a by default benefit of having kids
@Donotfolowme This is true. But it’s the position my siblings and I are in now.
DDonde · 31-35, M
Passing on your genetic line and making your mom happy
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
@DDonde oh well
Certainly you get less breast cancer.
You contribute to humanity -. You kill everything else and raise a redneck who will run over small animals. Or drink alcohol and crash.
