@SW-User hey, romance has nothing to do with procreation, except as a way to do it. If it didn't feel so good, species would have disappeared many millennia ago.

@SW-User Interestingly, with animals, once the need to procreate is over, when an animal ages out of the reproductive age, they tend to die. Their need in evolution over, they end up expendable. There are exceptions to that rule, some matriarchal societies have older females, as in elephants and some lions, but it is mostly the facts of life.
