If a bank account is in your name, and money was taken with out your consent, then that is theft and you can and should have your mom arressted. Your money is your money, and no one, not even mom has a right to touch it.

It would not surprise me, and that would be the last time she ever had access to my finances. Don't allow them to use your info!! Things like that can cause complete ruin in your life.

That’s horrible. Don’t give her your SSN and I’d block it ASAP, so if she gets it some other way she can’t use it. You might consider suing her for stealing your money if you’re up to that. As others have said, you may get the bail back— if your brother doesn’t take off. I have a sibling who’s done this, but thankfully our parents weren’t involved.

If you can prove she did that without your permission, you can report her to the police. Do NOT give her your social. She is not to be trusted.

Where I live once you turn 18 only you are allowed to access a bank account or savings account unless you personally have allowed someone else access.
