If he writes stories and poetry about another woman then how can you believe he loves you?

It's a question of how exclusive you want love to be. I believe people can love more than one person, and I wouldn't have any problem with a man writing poems for another woman. On the contrary, I'd find it an interesting read if he let me read his poetry.

I write erotic poetry sometimes, I have a friend's group where we all share poems with each other, We even write in pairs, the person who I'm always paired up with is just a friend and not at all an inspiration, we did it just last night. Poetry is not always written to, about, or for a certain person.

So I wouldn't automatically assume he's writing about another woman
Exactly 😌 🌹 @AngelUnforgiven

If he doesn't love you, then you must decide whether to stay or go.
I wouldn't believe he loved me either, unless it was his dead wife, whom he may always love, but doesn't mean he doesn't love you.
I need to add that if it is just poetry and not about a specific person, you may not have anything to fear from him writing poetry.

You can love more than one woman but i see why you would be annoyed as you aren't the focus of his love completely .. it’s your choice to be annoyed or cut your losses.. if you want to be #1 then find someone else i guess who isn't fawning over another woman

I'm guessing this other woman is real and not some imaginary muse in his head. He should be writing them about you, not her. He's disrespecting you. If he gaslights you and tells you he loves you, he's lying. He's a writer, they can lie easily, it's second nature.
Tolkien wrote poetry … created a world with beautiful women who were enchanted elves in it … even created their own language

And he was married to his love.

Not all guys are the same

Depends who’s holding the pen. 🖊

You can love more than one person, all that soul mate happily ever after stuff is a lie. Life is never is that wonderful.

I wouldn't be involved with a man who wrote about another woman. Not that desperate for crumbs.

Can't he love you more?
When he writes them for you but humiliates you because he didn't even care.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Because the creation of art is separate from his love for you.

Never trust a man with a mustache, a man who writes poetry as an angle to seem sensitive, or a man who uses flowers as an apology.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
Doubtful that he loves anyone but himself.

@LadyBronte Like any normal artist, because the subject matter for the initial creation is above any reality
