I'd rather pull up a chair at a table full of sinners who admit their mistakes than sit with people who pretend to be saints. I know my table.

One night my wife and I were walking home from the local coffee shop when the pastor of our church stopped us. He said he was very glad to see us sitting on the wrong side of the coffee shop. We were a bit perplexed so the pastor explained in this tiny town the coffee shop was where everyone went to socialise but there was an invisible line up the middle of it. On one side were all those who went to church and on the other were all those who didn't go to church. We always went to church but we had been sitting on the unchurched side of the coffee shop.

Jesus seemed to sit with sinners (and was criticised for it) apparently before they repented. Since many followed him, I assume they relented in due course or gave up. Since we are all sinners, I'm rather glad of that example.
I'll sit on both tables tbh because technically they're both sinners.
Also, heavy on "who admit their mistakes" because people think being self aware is enough to absolve them from some shit. It's not. Do better, not just for yourself but the people you've harmed.

That's what's good about the class I teach on Sundays. No saints are ever present.

Meh I don't know really.
I've spend way too much time with them sinners. I think I'm already disgusted with their pride to bare darkness. I've given away too much of my valuable attention.
How about the seat? Is it taken?

Ao long as they don't play practical jokes like loosening the top of the salt shaker 🤨

I'd rather sit with actual saints.

I’ve always referred to that as cheap grace.

And if they're sinners and whisky drinkers even better.

This is oddly wise, which makes no sense coming from you.
