Why is "silly goose" a phrase?
Have you ever met a goose? They are the most serious and powerful dinosaur looking monsters I've ever encountered and not one of them was silly.

Spider monkey goose demons is VERY APT.
We used to have a pet goose once.
She was the best damn guard dog we ever had !
Example:
Okay so one night my dad and my sister get woken up by this loud cerfuffle outside.
Dad (and my sister), goe to the long bank of kitchen windows that face down the side of our house ...and get to witness this -
(Also - you have to visualise that around the back of our house is a wide path that follows the shape of our house....house on one side, broad 5 ft high sandstone wall on thr other)
Anyhoo - theres this poor dark shape of a human cowering at the base of the wall, and this deep hissing coming from above it - with the large shadow of batwings spread out menacingly above it.
Human shape gets up to run, makes it around the back corner ...but then slips on goose shit and goes down .
Daddle (our goose), takes the opportunity to start shrieking at said human shaoe, and when he finally manages to stand up ....she bites him.
All this happens in the dark.
Guy screams, slips again, manages to drag himself up by the window sill. Daddle Stars flapping her extensive wingspan at him vigorously - buffeting him with chaos.
Dude screams and eventally runs down the path crying like hes been possessed by a demon.
My dad and my sister were inside - with tears - trying not to laugh histericaly watching all this go down like a real life comedy skit.
Daddle got apples and an extra long trip to the beach the next day🤗

@OogieBoogie Diabolical!! I have heard from a few farmers around here that geese are the best guard animals and that right there is just proof that they are!
