Why is "silly goose" a phrase?

Have you ever met a goose? They are the most serious and powerful dinosaur looking monsters I've ever encountered and not one of them was silly.

Yup! I think the terminology was coined in a different language then badly translated to English.

But yeah; there's a game that's all about just how unhinged geese (or in this case a single goose) can be.
