Do you remember 9/11?

I remember it very well. My Dad was a pilot for FedEx. And my Mom kept me home from school.

I don't understand why they were pinning everything, on Muslims, even in Australia just going to school, and nothing else...they coped a lot for that...only cause of a few photo's of grown middle eastern men,

We had Computer TV at work I watched it in my office then I could not believe what happened... Went home my wife was with one of her artist friends I remember they just kept repeating the plain crashing into the towers and the towers crashing down people running faces covered with soot...

It kinda brought people in the country together for a short time people flying American Flags from there cars and trucks.. Now the country is more divided then ever...

Yes. I was in VA on a business trip. They wouldn't allow us to use any electronics because they were afraid we would detonate something. I ended up having to stay over 4 extra days and even then I didn't fly. My work partner and I got a rental car and drove home. The next trip I took via plane after that I had to pop the hard drive out of my laptop and FedEx it to get it home because they changed the threat level and the airline wouldn't let me fly back with it.

Yes. I was at work and someone who wasn't coming into work that day called me up and told me what had happened. All of us at work were stunned and very quiet and spent the rest of the day listening to coverage of the event while trying to work.

I remember the dust clouds, i remember the fighter jets flying around to protect the city afterwards, i remember all the funerals.

Canadian airports got very busy that day and households in Canada opened their doors and welcomed stranded travellers.

Vividly. At first I thought I'd switched onto a movie ... it wasn't. 😟

Nope, I was, like, a year old.

It was kind of fascinating watching it unfold on the television actually.

Although it was happening before my eyes it had an unreal quality at the same time.

I've never experienced a similar feeling before or since. You knew this was a point at which the world was about to change.

Everytime I see an airplane turning.I think about it.

Yeah I was 8 years old at the time. I think after that event, my fear of flight started.

Yes, I remember exactly where I was and everything about that day. So surreal.

Yep, was a weird day. My GF woke me up when the first plane hit saying "We're under attack!" I rolled over and fell back asleep thinking, yeah, with how many countries we're fighting in when are we not under attack.

A little bit later she woke me again saying "The second world trade center tower was just hit!" Again I started to go back to sleep thinking yeah yeah, that's nice. Wait....what?!?

I got out of bed and watched on live TV as first the one and the the other towers collapsed. So surreal.

only seeing the plane hitting the t.v but I didn't really understand what was going on. I was only 5 and didn't know how to read

It was pretty freaky. There were rumors about bomb threats on any mass transit systems and we were super vigilant taking the train home.

And then the 2 weeks without air traffic.

Not a fun time.

Was too tiny.. only found out about it years later

I remember the conspiracy.

In my office in Rome. When the news flash on the radio said a second plane hit I knew.

I remember it and it was like any other day. Except for the whole terrorist attack thing.

Yeah. I watched it in initial utter disbelief from University on my laptop. Going home after class was exciting and in some ways unnerving...

I'll never forget about the poetry I'd written four days earlier, either.

Thats what ultra tolerance and political correctness gets you - not to mention how the airlines let this happen. They really are the true problems.

its like a nightmare that became real, I was at in Merriwa, in my friends house watching on news from her plasma tv

Yes I do. It was just like any other tragedy except this one ended up having the biggest effect on my life thanks to security theatre at the airports

I was a senior in HS in a trade school. Had no idea until i came back from wiring a home with electric. I remember it like it was earlier today

Tragic day for a host of reasons. Lost a cousin in the first plane into the towers

Just leaving for work was mid afternoon , got to work and everybody didnt believe me straight away

& I went back to play with my cousins. I couldn’t understand what was happening. I was like what, 2-3?

I definitely remember. I was home from work but still woke up early and was watching the news live when the second plane hit. My cousin worked for Cantor Fitzgerald and it was purely chance that he was home, too. A co-worker had begged him to trade vacation days with him.

Woke up, Mum said someone bombed America, went back to bed, got woken up again by my Mum who was like "Come on, its time for school". Now, I thought I had dreamt that the Americans got bombed, but nope, I turned on the TV and there was the replay of a plain flying into one of the builders. I staggered out half asleep into the lounge room to ask Mum what the fuck, and she said that some crazies had hijacked some planes. One hit the pentagon, twin towers copped them and one had been smashed into the ground or something. Then I went to school and in each class we watched the news. 1

Yes clearly. I felt depressed and suck inside for weeks, as did many others. It was a terrible day and always makes me angry and sad.

I was in first grade waiting for the bus and idk why I had an extra pair or bug underwear in my pack-pack but they fell out and some boy pointed at them and yelled "are those your underwear?!"

I still get nightmares about it.
It traumatized me as a kid and shattered my worldview.

I was a kid at the time and I don't think I heard of it or cared.
