Do you enjoy long walks or bicycle rides where you live?

I’m blessed with several good trails and I take full advantage every day.

Walking for me, we have a nice trail that goes along the river. About my speed while I still heal from knee surgery. Hopefully I can get back to the mountain trails again. 😊

@RebelRaven Replacement?
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
@DareDevil no, I had several pieces of calcified broken cartilage that would move and get lodged, plus my meniscus is torn.
DareDevil · 46-50, M
@RebelRaven I’ve had that done before too. I eventually had to have a replacement.

I have an amazing trail through my town that I love to take bike rides and runs. It's my happy place
LeGrotesque · 41-45, F
I love walks but it would be fun to have a bike again
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Both. But I prefer walking as it slows life down a little.
@SunshineGirl me too
Royrogers · 61-69, M
@SunshineGirl nice thinking

Walking for me. I used to bike a lot when I was younger, but with the arthritis in my knees I can't pedal very long anymore.
I’ve a nice running trail less than a 1/2 mile from where I live. When I need to get out of my head and need to go for a run I’ll go there because it’s well lit up.
@MyMonstersAreReal it’s a major plus for me to have one close by.
Johannap · 26-30, FNew
@Johannap oh good one. Do you have lots of nearby opportunities?
Johannap · 26-30, FNew
@BiasForAction yes, I do
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
I like walking. Feels primitive and I like slowing down and taking it all in.
@EldritchFox so do I. Gives me time to think and I tend to think more productively when I walk

Mountain biking for sure. I once was an avid walker / jogger until I fell in love with MTB. Mountain and dirt trails only.

@Magenta that’s awesome!

I used to go for two miles or more walks. Got some really bad vibes near a very small park at the end of this addition one time and never went back. There is a debate wooded area with paths through it and druggies sleep there. And transients all over this area that will harass people for money especially if they are walking alone. My neighbor is a very tall woman and hefty and they even harassed her when they saw she was alone.

Lots of good walking/hiking/biking options here .. used to take my dogs regularly
OldBrit · 61-69, M
We walk. Luckily while in a conurbation we have some footpaths through orchards or woods out on to The Downs. Also the other way we can walk along the riverside at various bits.
@OldBrit this sounds charming

I love running and cycling. Most of it I do on roads, but we have a big bike trail here that I've done several times.

Btw, I also love swimming and just completed in a triathlon yesterday. 🙂
@sarabee1995 the only thing that would surprise me at this point is when you underachieve. Congrats on your triathlon personal best yesterday.
That's all I do lately. Walk and walk and walk
@greensnacks me too — with an occasional run thrown in
