I've been back on perm nights for the last 8 years, I work four nights per week, 48hours total. In most respects i much prefer nights to days, but these days i must admit i find my body getting tired alot quicker than it use to, whether this is night shift taking it's toll or just me getting old, who knows??? lol

I worked 12 hour night shifts for the first time at age 57.
No way was I suited to it. Driving a forklift, loading sea containers for export.
Started driving back to Perth on a country road after 6 nights of 12 hour shifts. Had the car on cruise control at 110kmh, fell asleep, crossed to the wrong side of the road, smacked into a large tree. Should have been killed. Ended up with two broken toes.

I can’t sleep during the day so I couldn’t do it. But my start time at work is 4 AM that’s not good either.

I worked permanent Night Shift for 3 years. What sucked was if a co-worker didn't show up that was it, you couldn't call anybody in to cover.

@AceWarbringer Thats the best way to deal with it. Never say No. Just quote the price and conditions you want for Yes.😷
