Milton is going to F Florida up.

That’s a scary looking storm.

Which is cheaper, subsidizing green energy or paying for Hurricane cleanup?

It’s getting really hard to deny at this point.

Cat 5…that’s just terrifying! This one’s definitely going to cost billions to clean up, and gods know how many lives lost 😞

I read that wind speeds were up to 180 mph earlier off the coast. That's almost unfathomable.
Florida is not in a good position. They'll be taking the brunt of water rising and more intense hurricanes.
And these types of storms will continue to become more frequent and more intense. No doubt.
And yet, despite models showing around 2 feet of sea level rise in the next 30 to 40 years, Florida is still building on the coastline. Because it's dry there now.
Blows my mind.

On the news there was a weather forecast predicting 10 to 15 foot storm surges along part of the Florida coast. Officials seem to be saying "evacuate or die" in many areas of the state. :(

Yet they will... Right up to the point where the water level reaches their jaw line
Sending FEMA to Florida and rebuilding, again and again, decade after decade, is getting to be a broken record for sure

It's not rocket science to look at a map to see why Florida will always get hit more than any other state

"States' rights" is obsolete, it is not compatible with modern reality
