Are fetishes really that bad or or people just uneasy to experience them...

most people don't understand them, and get all judgemental about them. They react on emotion, and not from an intellectual approach.

I figure if it's safe, sane and consensual, legal, causes no harm, and is managed so it's not maladaptive, then whatever floats your boat.

The only way I can see that one would be bad is if it's something so deeply ingrained in you that you can't seem to feel fulfilled without acting on it, but it is either impossible to realize in real life, or carries with it enormous consequences that a moment's rational thought would assure you outweigh the benefits.

Aside from that, it's always possible to elicit annoyance, offense, disgust, fascination, amusement, ridicule, or condemnation from others by prattling on about ones you have that they don't.

What some people find stimulating, others find offputting. For example, I enjoy being spanked by women but not everyone does. People either love that or loathe it, they never seem to be neutral about it. I dare say the same applies to other fetishes. However, anything between consenting adults is acceptable.

I think people are just uneasy. I mean I feel it’s things like this are meant to be weird. We are all unique and sometimes find attraction in different situations. But it’s the being different and out of the norm that makes it interesting cuz even though it may include something that I’m not into doesn’t by any means make it wrong.

I think the better explanation is that people don't understand them and people tend to shy away from what they don't understand.

Depends on what they are, but like most sexuality, not to be shared without consent.
