As if we don’t have enough dumb incompetent fucks in the medical field now
TexChik · F
@DeluxedEdition medical mistakes kill nearly 100,000 every year . But having incompetent doctors would fit right in with the lib plan for mass genocide
Convivial · 26-30, F
Seems to be a trend really, the general dumbing down of society
SmoothKnight · 51-55, M
Of course, the people making the decision to lower standards won't be taking themselves or family members to the graduates for treatment.

It looks like the movie Idiocracy wasn't just a comedy. It was more of a documentary about a possible future and it seems we are heading that way.

As bad as this may be, it's time to start imagining how city governments will restaff their depleted police forces.
For those who missed it, police officers are taking retirement or just up and quitting in record numbers because they no longer believe the people or the government support them, and by continuing to serve as police officers they are exposing themselves and their families to harassment and possibly much worse. No one want to work where they are not wanted, best go someplace else.
So who will fill all the police vacancies?

@Heartlander That's for another post....but is a really serious problem.

in the name of EQUITY.
The WOKE see no sense in having standards for their students in the name of quality care.

@SW-User Starting this year, the rules have changed.
SW-User
The standards are already not that great. People better find ways of not getting to the point of needing doctors except for acute care.

It appears they want more witch 🧙♂️ doctors with substandard education
Punxi · 26-30, F
In some ways the achievement of others on the same curve will sparkle and shine. A lowering of standards also lowers the bar some have already cleared completely. Most test drive every car on the lot...yet pull in to the lot of the first doctor on the block and trust in its care without question.
4meAndyou · F
@Punxi I have been saying for years that we don't know what kind of grades our doctors received in school. I can tell you that the top grade medical students usually gravitate toward the big cities where they can make the most money...and those who received low B grades or just squeaked by with a C go to the rural areas.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Wait is this for doctors
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
want a doctor who is so smart that they didn't HAVE to lower the bar so he or she could pass their medical exams...and many of the smartest are from foreign countries.
You say that because you’re not even familiar with the system that they use now that clearly isn’t working which is why we have such a serious shortage of doctors in this country. If you become a neurosurgeon you can only work 10 years until you retire. Every doctor I know became a doctor because their parents were a doctor and they had to live with thher parents the entire time they went to school because you cannot work and go to medical school, you physically cannot.
You do four years of bookwork and tests and then four years of residency which is basically where you work but you get paid little to nothing working overtime hours
It’s easy to sit there and say “I want my doctor to be educated enough to pass like everyone else”
When you don’t know or understand the problems we face in the field because of the ineffective schooling curriculum that doctors have in this country, you have to be a privileged filthy rich kid to be a doctor in this country or a foreigner
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@DeluxedEdition not to mention what if they decide that they don’t wanna do that (Which happens frequently) I’ve had two friends originally going to be a doctor and both decided they wanted to be nurses instead.
or they fail and then they’ve just wasted eight years of their life and have no work experience to be able to go somewhere else at the age of 30. not to mention the school loans they have accumulated and have to start paying off

@DeluxedEdition Didn't mean to upset you. I am aware that it is 8 years of study. For a while there, Harvard was paying the tuition of anyone who graduated as a doctor of medicine. Don't know if they are still doing it.
My mother ended up housing my son and his first bride, who was studying to be a nurse at Emerson, and then became a physicians assistant, and my mother co-signed the loan application.
We ALL got shafted on that. My son's first wife left him and defaulted on the loan, so my poor senile mother ended up legally responsible, and I paid the bills because I was her executrix. And ALL of that money, $1000.00 a month, came out of her estate, so my brother and I also got the shaft after my mother died.

Democrats hell bent on destroying our educational systems, much like they destroyed our cities.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Heartlander this cracks me up... The Republicans are banning books but it's the democrats that are wrecking education 😜
4meAndyou · F
@Convivial "Democrats are now banning books for an unbelievable reason:
Leftists who believe that speech is violence are gaining a foothold within the mainstream of the Democrat Party.
The “speech is violence” mantra has been used as justification by the radical Left to deplatform speakers from college campuses, push for online censorship, and even destroy public property.
Now books are being banned from middle school and high school curricula.
The Burbank Unified School District in Los Angeles recently barred To Kill A Mockingbird, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and others.
From Newsweek:
Until further notice, teachers in the area will not be able to include on their curriculum Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men,” Theodore Taylor’s “The Cay” and Mildred D. Taylor’s “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.”
Four parents alleged that these books could cause harm to their children, and, in turn, BUSD decided to exclude these novels from its curriculum.
All it took was four leftist parents to complain, and the entire school district buckled.
The Left has learned that people will often bend the knee under the slightest bit of pressure.
Worse yet, the books in question highlight the ills of racial intolerance."

@Convivial
I've posted this elsewhere a number of times and I will repeat it here: I'm not a Republican. I define myself as an anti-Democrat.
It's a cumulative thing in recognition of all the misery inflicted on the USA over the USA's history. Slavery? Brutal mistreatment of indigenous Americans? Jim Crow? Segregation? Mistreatment of Freed slaves? Turning away Jews seeking asylum from the Nazis? What they all have in common is DEMOCRAT.
And nothing that they have done over the past 50 years has changed my opinion: Viet Nam, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Iraq: Wars that they were FOR before they were against, and in the time between the "for" and "against", millions and millions of lives were sacrificed.

@Stereoguy I thought they had them in Oklahoma City, I don’t know. It would be good to have at least one here. I’m sure there are enough people who would love to go to a naturopath instead of medical doctors. It’s a matter of insurance paying for most.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti Having worked for an insurance company in Massachusetts, I can tell you that the ONLY alternative medicines that were covered were chiropractors and acupuncturists.

That is what equality means. Is why the D (icks) are taking everything away .
4meAndyou · F
@checkoutanytime Equity and equality are two different things. Equality would mean we are all the same. Equity means we have to give more and more and more and more to people who need to start pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps.
