The measles outbreak is getting worse with a few deaths

Apparently it started with unvaccinated children, it's because of anti vaxxers that these diseases are coming back. I don't know about anyone else but I'd feel terrible if I was directly responsible for my kid dying because of a weird anti science political stance. Crazy how these parents have no shame.

"We’re still in free-fall,” Dr. Peter Hotez, co-director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development, told USA TODAY. “[The outbreak] still has a lot of energy and steam behind it. And that energy and steam are all the unvaccinated kids.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), many falsely assume that measles is a harmless disease causing a minor rash and fever. However, it often causes far more serious health complications like pneumonia and encephalitis, sometimes even leading to death.

@LordShadowfire I hope they vaccinate the unvaccinated against the parents wishes. I don't really care, it's kind of disgusting to do that to kids knowing they should have had their shots. I'm honestly not sure if I got a TB shot I dunno if they do that to kids but if we did all get it when we were younger that's probably where the TB outbreaks are from too.

I thought it may be raw milk but if we have a high amount of people unvaccinated it's only logical that the diseases come back. They don't really die that's why we need vaccines.

@gol979 So explain this, how come after the measles vaccine, it was nearly eradicted. Now the disease was brought back not by vaccinated children but unvaccinated? Which one has died already. Honestly a vaccine doesn't stop the disease, it lowers the rate of infection and can protect the immuno compromised like children with diseases.

So explain the resurgence.

@Carla That's true, I think I'd be fine with anti vaxxers if their choices just affected themselves. I don't care if they die to be honest, I just care that their actions affect others who might still have life in them lol.

I wouldn't have an issue if their actions didn't affect others though, they could be that way all they want. I don't care. But it does affect immunocompromised people and for the fact that these people don't care about others says a lot
