@WillaKissing Thank you…hopefully get through this year without the flu
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti I was not so lucky, but I run myself down giving the flu a chance and it took it.
Good Luck and you are quite welcome.

@Nimbus a doctor’s assistant that takes my blood pressure etc. told me at my visit in January that he had been taking beet supplements and had to cut back on them because his blood pressure got too low. They sell it in powder & gummies now. But you can buy the juice or make it at home. I am making it.

@cherokeepatti Really?
I suspect mine might be low, I must get it checked soon.

@Nimbus Do the larger stores there have blood pressure machines in them where customers can sit down and check it themselves? Walmart, Sam’s, pharmacies etc have them here.

For the last couple of years I've accepted the offer of the flu vaccine - which I never thought I'd do/need
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ArtieKat Not taking it, it messes with my immune system and I get paraflu…which repeats over and over throughout the winter and leaves me fatigued.

Did the doctor tell you, you are healthy?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou thank you
Berti33 · 41-45, F
@cherokeepatti A family doctor, I mean the one who you used to consult regularly can read you if healthy or sick in his looking at you, for a first impression. The tests confirm his assumptions.

@Berti33 I told him my back was hurting and gets worse every evening, that I have had degeneration in my lower back and neck vertebrae (went to a chiropractor and got x-rays on it) about 17 years ago. Also rheumatoid arthritis, there were no problems last year when I was on chemo, I guess the steroids they gave with chemo might have had something to do with, but it came back after surgery and with every cold front & precipitation my joints start swelling up. He’s checking everything and I think it’s good, mentioned that my hemoglobin count was nearly normal in January and he wants to check it again. Thyroid runs in my family with all the women, I think it’s OK but he wants to check it anyway. I was fighting cancer for two years and had surgeries (two different types of cancer and was Stage 4), chemo & radiation & needed blood transfusions too.
